Drum Roll Please!........

Ta da!  My first ever design team card!  With Valentine's day just around the corner I've chosen this sweet little lovebirds digi to showcase Ruth's fantastic designs.  It was a tough choice to pick which Passion for Cards image to play with first and I had such fun colouring this one.
The digi stamp was coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers (what else?!).
The textured cardstock is Gemstones Core'dinations, the plain card and holographic card have been lurking in my stash for a while.
The border punch is and Xcut one and the hearts were made with a Cuttlebug and die and two punches.
The feather was from the kids craft section in Tesco!  I'm such a magpie when it comes to spotting things I can craft with.
I finished the card with (surprise, surprise!) a bow and some random gems.

Exciting News!

As of today I'm a member of the design team for A passion For Stamps!  The lovely digi images are designed by a very talented lady called Ruth and I'm really excited that I'm going to get a chance to play with them.  Watch this space for my DT cards.

Lili of the Valley Cutie

How cute is this lovely Lili of the Valley stamp?!  I bought her at the SECC back in October but she remained uninked until now!  I save up all year for my Glasgow shopping spree with an overnight stay, so needless to say I spend quite a lot.  I tend to put some new goodies aside to enjoy over the year before my next spend up.  I managed to hold out till January with this gorgeous stamp!
Both the image and the sentiment stamp are from Lili of the Valley who really do make the lovliest stamps.  I haven't seen one yet I don't like!  She's been coloured with Promarkers and the toadstool has been accented with pearls.
The papers are all from Papermania's Woodland Folk range which uses some beautiful colours and has lovely designs.
The border punch is by Martha Stewart and the flowers were made with an Xcut punch.
And of course my card wouldn't be complete without a sprinkling of gems!

Romantic Roses

I recently ordered a Hunkydory goody bag from Create and Craft, not knowing what I was going to get.  I was delighted when I opened it as it contained tons of scrummy silk art card, embossed card, foiled card and foiled acetate amongst other things.  Of course I had to get playing and here's what I came up with.
The rose was made with a Craft UK stamp, coloured with Promarkers and then glazed with Spray and Shine.
The sentiment is a Papermania stamp which I embossed with gold powder.
The border punch is a much used favourite by Martha Stewart.
After layering everything up I finished the card with my usual random embellishments and gems!

I Know it's January But.........

I'm making this year's Christmas cards already!  I've joined Snoflake's challenge over on Docrafts to make one Christmas card a week so there won't be a mad rush at the end of the year.
I just love this little decoupage scene from Humphrey's Corner.  I decided to steer away from the traditional Christmas colours and went for natural, earthy tones. 
The base mat is kraft by Papermania, the lace mat and the scallop are both Hunkydory silk art card and the textured card is Bazzil.
The edge punches are both Martha Stewart and the ivy leaves were made with an Xcut punch from Core'dinations which have been gently sanded.
I've finished the card with my usual bow and a scattering of pearls.

Well, here it is!

I've finally done it and started a blog!  Something new for me for 2012.

The first card I want to share is one I've created for my father-in-law's birthday on the 13th of January.
The papers are Papermania Hampstead collection, as are the borders, sentiment sticker and brad.
The pheasant stamp set is by Stampin' Up which I've stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage.  The background was done with a Distress Ink blending tool using Peeled Paint for the grass and Tumbled Glass for the sky.
The leaves were made with an Xcut punch from Core'dinations.
I then finished the card with a bow made form raffia.
