Big Smile

It's that Welsh scrapbook again, this time using two photos of Robbie in his Llechwedd Slate Caverns helmet.  I think he looks sooo cute and more than a little bit cheeky!
The papers are all Papermania, mainly from the Happy Days range, apart from the red and white stripy one which is from the Cranberry and Apple Capsule Collection.  The journaling card and large letter stickers are Papermania too and the stars were made with Xcut dies.
The final embellishments are some ruffled ribbon, assorted buttons, the largest threaded with baker's twine, and some red nail heads.

I'm entering this layout in the following challenges -
Glitter 'n' Sparkle - #26 - Cute
Totally Papercrafts - #160 - metal, I used metal nail heads

Frantage Butterfly

Happy Easter everyone, I hope you don't eat too much chocolate and make yourself sick!
Mum and I had a lovely crafternoon playing with our Craftwork Cards Shabby Vintage goody bags we picked up in the their sale after Christmas.
We got quite messy with our cards as we stamped the patterned paper with flourish stamps and dusted them with blue mica powder for a touch of shimmer, unfortunately it doesn't show very well in the photo.
The butterfly topper was in the goody bag, I just added some Stampendous embossing enamel to it and heat embossed for a shabby look.  I used some lovely large brown pearls for the body and mounted the butterfly onto a die cut circle made with a Spellbinders Splendid Circles die.
The sentiment is an old Anita's one that's been in my stash for ages, I think it would be perfect for many occasions.
To finish off, I stuck on two Creative Expressions corner embellishments, a blue bow, some lace and some blue pearls.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Allsorts - #200 - Vintage
Totally Gorjuss - #177 - Something Blue
Totally Papercrafts - #160 - Metal, I used metal corner embellishments
Rhedd and Rosie - #3 - Vintage/Shabby

So Green

Yep, it's another Welsh scrapbook page!  I decided to try something new for me, a monochrome page, to highlight the landscape photos taken in the gardens of Portmeirion.
The papers, border strips and glitter flowers are all Papermania Capsule Collection in Chelsea Green, the letter stickers and round gems are Papermania too, but from different ranges.  The journaling tickets are Bo Bunny and the flower gems and baker's twine have been lurking in my stash for a while.

Digi Haven DT Card - Spring

We have a lovely, seasonal challenge for you starting today over at Digi Haven, this fortnight our theme is "Spring" and all you need to do to play along is to use a digi on your creation and follow the theme.  Our sponsor this time is My Graphico who are offering a digi prize to our randomly chosen winner.  The DT were given some cute images to play with, I chose this dragonfly to make a get well card in pretty spring colours.
I coloured the image with Promarkers then used tiny SeeDee stamps to stamp around the edges of the topper in various Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from a SeeDee set too, which I've had since the dawn of time and rarely sees the light of day.  I thought that this image was crying out for googly eyes, I mean, who isn't cheered up by a googly eye or two!
The papers are Papermania Go Green and all the edges were inked with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.  I created a border using a Martha Stewart punch and added some fresh looking green gingham ribbon and bow.  The flowers were made with punches and some blue gems complete the card.

Cute Little Bunnies

Here's another Easter card, I've so enjoyed making them this year, especially using cute images and pretty pastel papers.
The super sweet image is from Di's Digi Downloads and has been coloured with my trusty Promarkers.  The sentiment was stamped onto a die cut egg made with an Xcut die which I then decorated with a scrap of paper and some narrow ribbon.
The papers are my much loved Papermania Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection, they've been so useful for my springtime projects.  The flowers were made with Woodware punches and I finished off with a ribbon, a bow and some yellow buttons.

The papers are DCWV The Denim stack, the label embellishments are fussy cut from the pack too.  The railway badge was cut from a photo and I added a strip of washi tape with a map print to continue the travel theme.  The lettering is Papermania Birdsong and I finished my page with a Papermania metal cog, glazed brads and a luggage label for journaling.

Bargello Hearts

Here's my project from last night's craft session with the girlies.  I wasn't well at the weekend and I was too busy to bake yesterday, so  Mr Cadbury had to provide the sweet treats to go with our tea in the shape of mini egg cakes!  This week we all had a go at the bargello technique using strips of paper to create patterns.
Bargello is usually used to create backgrounds, but some of us decided to die cut shapes from it instead, I used Spellbinders for mine to make this wedding card.
The patterned papers are Papermania Confetti, one of my all time favourite packs with only off cuts left now, to which I've added some textured gold card and linen cream pearl card.  The sentiment was computer generated.
To embellish, I used Creative Expressions metal corners, a pink bow, a heart padlock charm, a resin flower, a beaded organza flower and some pearls.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Creative Creations - #6 - Thing Starting With B, I used the bargello technique
That Craft Place - Wedding
Charisma Cardz - #11 - Die Cuts

It's Another Egg Shaped Easel!

Yep, here's another one!  My wee boy, Robbie, watched me make lots of these egg shaped cards and asked which one was going to be his.  He seemed disappointed that there wasn't one for him, even although they all had flowers on them, so I made him this one with his name on.

The stamp I used is a magazine freebie with Quick Cards Made Easy and has been coloured with Promarkers.  I used my largest Xcut die to make the card blank from Payper Box blue gingham cardstock, the next size down for the image and the smallest to make the holographic eggs.  The bunting was stamped with alphabet stamps then snipped into little flags.  I made a stamped and die cut label into the stopper element and decorated my card with red gingham ribbon, two bows, two blue pearls and some blue gems between the flags.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges-

GDT Card for Forever Friends

I was lucky enough to be picked as guest designer for the Forever Friends & Co challenge blog, the theme this time is "One For The Girls", so nice and easy to play along.  You don't have to use a Forever Friends image to join in but I decided to get out this stamp that has only seen ink once before.
The stamped image has been coloured with Promarkers to match my oh so pretty, new Dovecraft Cupcake Boutique papers.  The sentiment is from the same Papermania stamp set as the image, and is perfect for me as I'm a real tea jenny, the kettle's always on in my house!
I decided to add a die cut doily made with an Xcut die to continue the tea time theme, I've had such a lot of use out of that die, I just love it.  The flowers and leaves were made with Woodware punches and I finished my card with a bow, some large, square blue gems and a scattering of little pink gems.

Under the Weather

I had a notion to make a card in pastel citrus colours, here's the zesty and cheerful card I came up with.
The image is a digi from Bugaboo and has been coloured with Promarkers.  To create the rain, I made teardrop shapes with Liquid Pearls, then sprinkled on some Glamour Dust while it was still wet for lots of sparkle.
The papers are Papermania Spring Chic, to which I've added some tangerine card.  I inked all the edges and the scallops on the blank with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.
The sentiment was made with a Kanban ticket stamp and a Personal Impressions sentiment stamp, I use these two sets together quite a lot.  The flowers are ancient Papermania ones which have been lurking in my stash for years and the leaves were mad with a Woodware punch.  To finish off I added some ribbon, a bow and a few pearls.

My Guys

It's a layout from Wales again, this time I've used photos taken of my husband and son on the Ffestiniog railway.  I love these pics, seeing them smile makes me smile!
The papers are DCWV The Denim Stack, the belt, pocket and labels were all fussy cut from patterned paper, the blue cardstock is Core'dinations that I gently sanded.
It doesn't show up well in the photo, but I added metal studs to the pocket and eyelets and glazed brads to the label embellishment just above the pocket.
The title lettering was done with Papermania Birdsong stickers, the "Just Like Daddy" tab was cut from a paper pack and I added a tag for journaling to the pocket.  A bit of faux stitching adds to the denim theme.

I'm entering this layout in the following challenges -

Another Egg Shaped Easel

I've had such fun making my Easter cards this year, especially egg shaped easel cards, I've made loads of these so expect to see them popping up on my blog over the next few days!  I challenged myself to make them all with a stamped image, gingham card, ribbon, two bows and three punched flowers but to make them all different.
I used a Tatty Teddy stamp from last year for this one, stamping in London Fog Memento for a soft look and inked all the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  The flowers and leaves were made with Woodware punches.
A couple of people asked me if the shaped blanks were made with my Grand Calibur and the answer is yes, but, it could be done with a Cuttlebug or Big Shot as I made the blanks from 6x6 cards using the largest die from my Xcut set.

Caernarfon Castle

Another layout from my Welsh holiday!  These pics were taken on a day trip to Caernarfon Castle, we had such a fun day out that day, the castle is massive and there's so much to see.
The papers I've used are Theresa Collins with the addition of some Core'dinations cardstock and the journaling tags are Bo Bunny.  I used felt lettering from Hobby Craft and glitter stickers from The Works to make the title, I love the look of mixed fonts on a layout.  The final flourishes were tartan ribbon, a giant brad, heart shaped buttons, grey pearls and rows of nail heads along the top of the smaller photos.

I'm entering this layout in the following challenges -
Crafting For All Seasons - #48 - anything but a card

Easter Egg Easel

I made this egg shaped card for my Mum for Easter.
I used Xcut dies to create the card, along with Papermania Capsule Collection papers and peach cardstock.  The stamped image (Crafty Impressions) was coloured with Promarkers and I used lots of Wild Honey Distress Ink on all the edges.  The sentiment is from the same set as the image, I die cut it with a Nestie to make the stopper element.  The flowers and leaves were made with Woodware punches and I finished off with some lace, ribbon, two bows and some gold gems.

A Bit "Cheeky"

I just love this digi from Just Some Lines, it really made me smile.  It's a freebie at the moment, you'll find it here.
The image was, of course, coloured with Promarkers and I glittered the fairy's wings with Glamour Dust.  I used up some older stash on the one, the papers are Papermania Capsule Collection in Sunshine from yonks ago and the pretty, dimensional butterfly stickers have been lurking in my stash for ages, I used Liquid Pearls for their trails.  The flower was made with my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, I inked cream card with Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Inks to add colour to my bloom.  The leaves were made with a Marianne die.  The leafy border was made with a Martha Stewart punch.  I finished off with yellow ribbon and a brad topped bow.

Easter Basket

Here's my project from our Monday night craft session.  After tea and mahoosive chocolate whoopie pies filled with marshmallow, we all made these cute Easter baskets, following the instructions from Quick Cards Made Easy magazine.
The basket is a pretty decent size considering it's made from just one sheet of 12x12 scrapbook paper, I used my favourite Papermania Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection paper again along with some Honey and Hugs paper for the green flowery border and some Bazzil Bling for the punched heart border (made with a Martha Stewart punch) and handles.  The flowers (there's one on the other side too) were made with a Woodware daisy punch and various circle punches and dies, with a lovely glitter brad in the centre.  The handles were attached with brads too, so they can move.
I've filled my basket with yellow tissue paper and chocolate treats for a friend.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges -

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

We have a new challenge for you today over at I Love Promarkers, this week our theme is the ever popular "Anything Goes".  We have two sponsors this time, J&C Creations and Crafty Sentiments, so there's double the chance to win.  I've used a Crafty Sentiments image on my card from a recent challenge win, I think it's really cute and was fun to colour with my Promarkers.
The papers are Papermania, from the Tatty Teddy Valentine's range, to which I've added some red pearl card and some pink Core'dinations which I embossed with a Docrafts heart folder, then gently sanded and inked with Barn Door Distress Ink.  I used the same ink on all the layers too.

The Frasers

It's a page form my Welsh holiday again, this time focusing on this lovely photo of my son, hubby and me, it's a rare day we are all in a photo together, this one was taken by my sister on a visit to Caernarfon Castle.
The ledger print and spotty papers are Theresa Collins, the grey and blue cardstock is Core'dinations and the brightly coloured papers and stickers are Fancy Pants.  The journaling card is Papermania and the glitzy lettering came from the works.  I added some heart shaped buttons threaded with baker's twine as this pic was taken on our wedding anniversary.  I finished my page with clear, white and grey gems, some round buttons and a tiny brad on the weeny tag.

You Make Life Sweet

Once again I've combined my love of baking with my love of card making with this yummy cake card.
The tasty looking cake image is from Digi Darla and has been coloured with Promarkers, the sentiment and strawberries were stamped with  Creative Expressions stamps, I used a yellow gel pen for the seeds on the berries.
The papers are Papermania Little Cake Shoppe, to which I've added a panel of Core'dinations that I embossed with a cupcake folder then sanded.
The cupcake border was done with a Martha Stewart punch, the flowers and leaves were made with punches too.  Some red gingham ribbon, a bow, pearls and a scattering of gems complete my card.

My Family

Here's another Portmeirion layout featuring the only photo with all the happy holiday makers in it.  We got a passer-by to take it in exchange for a look round the house!
I've used Dovecraft Tea Party papers, along with blue spotted Bazzil cardstock and I inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The journaling card and Big Bloomer flower are from Papermania, I just layered the flower up and added pink seed beads to the centre and for a bit of texture.  The lettering was done with stickers and the corner die cut was done with a Marianne die.  The spotted border round the title circle was made with Card Candi and I finished off with some gems and pearls.

Cutie Pie Dt Card - Easter

It's  challenge time once again at Cutie Pie, this time our theme is "Easter".  Our sponsor this time is Pink Gem and the DT were lucky enough to be given a image to play with, I just fell in love with this pretty image, which I coloured with my Promarkers.
The papers I've used are My Mind's Eye In Bloom, a stunning double sided stack in the prettiest soft colours, to which I've added kraft for matting and layering.
The flower was made with Xcut dies, layered up and topped with a button the leaves were made with with Marianne dies and the heart border was made with a Martha Stewart punch.  To complete my card, I used ribbon, a bow, a stamped sentiment, buttons and pearls.

The papers I've used are Papermania Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection, I've used so much of this pack already, I just can't get enough of it!  I inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink for a bit of definition.
The cardstock letter stickers are Papermania too, as is the little blue bow.  I made a border of layered ribbon and added in a tag from The Works.  The bunting was made with my favourite Stampin' Up punch, I've had so much use out of it.  The flowers were made with my Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die with Capsule Collection buttons in the centres.  Some assorted orange buttons and a scattering of blue gems finish it off.

I'm entering this layout in the following challenges -

Chocolate Egg

I've made this Easter card to give to my sweet toothed Father-in-Law.  I tried to keep it as masculine as a could, steering away from springtime pastels, opting instead for rich chocolate shades.
You may recognise the image as the same Digi Stamps 4 Joy stamp that I used for my Digi Haven DT card, only this time I've made it a chocolate egg giving it a very different look.  It was, of course, coloured with Promarkers.
The papers are from my new Papermania Gorjuss pack (including the tag which was fussy cut from a sheet of paper and had a sentiment stamped on it) with a bit of kraft thrown in for matting.  I used raffia rather than my usual ribbon to make it more masculine and added some pearls to finish.

Battery Square

I'm so glad to have found my scrapping mojo again, here's another layout from my Portmeirion scrapbook.
It's my DCWV The Sunshine Stack papers again along with ledger print kraft and letter stickers from Papermania.  The loopy border was made with a Martha Stewart punch, to which I've added some Create and Craft grosgrain scalloped ribbon in a lovely duck egg colour.  I highlighted the arched shape of the painting by adhering blue gems along it, and I finished off with a giant brad and brown pearls.

I'm entering this layout in the following challenge -

All Around the World

Woo hoo, it's the weekend, bring on the lie-in!  Here's a card I made with the Papermania All Aboard stuff from the latest Docrafts goody bag.
The map topper was made with a large stamp, coloured with Promarkers then the edges were inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
The tags and tickets were fussy cut from the 6x6 paper pack and I added a border of washi tape along the border.  To continue the slightly vintage look, I applied some Distress Stickles (that always sounds like a disease of the men's downstairs department to me!) in Frayed Burlap and some assorted nailheads.

I coloured the eggs to match these pretty Papermania Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection papers, ribbon and buttons, any excuse to use this gorgeous range, I can't get enough of it!
The only other stash I need to add was a stamped sentiment, a brad for the centre of the bow and a punched border made with a Martha Stewart punch.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
DL Art - #105 - Easter
Dutch Dare - #208 - spots and stripes
Sincerely Yours - #3 - Easter
The Paper Shelter - #103 - Easter
Bearly Mine - #77 - Easter

Night and Day

Here's another page from my Portmeirion scrapbook using two photos of the same scene, one taken during the day, the other in the evening.
The papers I've used are DCWV The Sunshine Stack, along with yellow glitter Core'dinations and a scrap of paper from a Fancy Pants stack.  The sun and banner were fussy cut from the DCWV paper pack and the journaling tabs are Papermania Happy Days which have been cut in half.  The circle behind the photos was made with Spellbinders grand dies and the layered stars were made with Xcut dies.  The felt flowers were from the Early Learning Centre!  To finish my page I added a punches strip made with a Martha Stewart punch and some gold gems.

I'm entering this layout in the following challenges -
Charisma Cardz - #10 - stars
Craft Us Crazy - #39 - anything but a card
Anything Goes - #88 - seeing double, I used 2 photos
Use It Tuesday - #52 - die cuts, punches and cut outs, I've had the star dies and yellow card ages

You're a Hoot!

I bought this sweet owlet stamp at the SECC last October and hadn't got round to inking it so I decided to get it out and get stamping.  It's a Helz Cuppleditch Neighbourwood stamp that I got for the bargain price of £1, I think it's just so cute.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and went round the edges of the topper with Shabby Shutters and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
The green patterned papers are Dovecraft Riverbank Revels, as are the flowers which I layered up and topped with a tiny patterned brad.  I added in some brown wood grain and brown gingham  cardstock compliment the rustic look.
To finish off I used some red gingham ribbon with a bow, some leaves made with an Xcut punch and some green gems.
