Winter Window

It was craft night last night, and after our tea and home made lemon drizzle cake, we made cards with my memory Box window die.  I decided to make a Christmas card for my sister in law and her hubby, he's a deer stalker, so I used my Memory Box deer die and created a little wintry scene.
The sunset sky was done with Pan Pastels and a post it note mask, the colours are much richer in real life, the glare from the acetate made it hard to photograph.  The snowy acetate is Hunkydory, I think it adds a fun touch to Christmas projects.
The backing paper for the wallpaper is Papermania, Chatsworth, and the curtains were made with magazine freebie paper, which I scored and folded every half centimetre, then, with the folds tightly closed, I punched a hole through the top to make eyelet tops.  I made tie backs from ribbon and topped them with Papermania bows.  The curtain pole is made from a bamboo skewer, that's one less kebab for me!
The sentiment was stamped with a magazine freebie stamp, and I finished with three faceted pearls and a strip of cream card as coving.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Allsorts - #212 - Outside the Box - I used a kebab skewer
Crimbo Crackers - #44 - You've Had it How Long? - The BP is years old and I've had the dies since October
Creative Moments - #19 - Weather, I chose snow
