Plants for Father's Day

With Father's Day just around the corner, I decided to make a start on my cards, this one's going to be for my Father in Law, who used to be a very keen gardener, he even did it professionally for a while when he had to leave school, aged just fourteen, to help support his parents and many siblings.  He's too frail to garden now, and has all but lost his sight but loves to talk about his gardening day's in his own garden and at Aigas Estate where he worked.

 It's that Papermania Home to Nest Ultimate pack yet again, this time used with a Papermania kraft stepper card.  All the papers, die cuts and the sentiment are from the pack, which is so useful for so many occasions.
It's nice and large with lots of textured elements, such as satin ribbon, chunky buttons, scuffed edges and of course the decoupage topper, so even if he can't see it all that well, he'll be able to feel where everything is.  He always appreciates a handmade card and likes to show it to visitors and the warden of his sheltered housing.
