Purple Baubles

Yet another Christmas card, this time a DL card to ring the changes.  I don't make enough of these, I always enjoy the long, thin shape and the interesting layouts that can be achieved with this shape.
The papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Snow Princess, to which I've added deep purple and white card for matting.  I also used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch to make a decorative strip down the left hand side.  I used the snowflake-shaped waste from the punch to embellish the backing paper.
The baubles were made with Spellbinders dies, from three shades of purple card, and were embellished with tiny purple gems, topped with white bows, then hung from lengths of baker's twine from the top of the card.
The final touch was to add a sprinkling of gems to the background.

GDT Card for Elisabeth Bell's World

After winning a challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World, I was asked if I'd like to be guest designer for the new challenge, which starts today.  The theme is "1, 2, 3, and a Tag", you must also use an Elisabeth Bell image.  I chose to use one stamped and die cut butterfly,  two rows of bunting, and three handmade flowers, along with a kraft tag and Elisabeth Bell digi, that I coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Star Dust Stickles and Glossy Accents.
The pretty papers are Lili of the Valley, Timeless Victorian, I distressed the edges and inked some with Ground Espresso Distress Ink.  The loopy border was done with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set.
The large bunting was made with a Stampin' Up punch, the smaller bunting with a Joy die.  The flowers were made with a Woodware punch, and were inked with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink, and given Flower Soft centres, the foliage was cut with a Marianne die.  The butterfly was stamped a die cut with a Hero Arts Sizzix stamp and die set using more Seedless Preserves ink.
The final touches were a Papermania Bellissima sentiment, some large pearls and a trio of lilac gems.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Cupcake Surprise Pup

It's the third Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for my Kitty Bee showcase project; this month I've made a card featuring the adorable Cupcake Surprise Pup, which I've coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Star Dust Stickles and a touch of Glossy Accents.
The patterned papers and sentiment tag are Papermania, from a pack called Happy Birthday, to which I added purple cardstock for matting so that the overall look wasn't too wishy-washy.
I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the cupcake side panels, and I "baked" a couple of cupcakes to match the one in the image using Xcut and Cottage Craft dies, along with a tiny heart punch.  I also added some layered ribbon with a matching bow, and finished with some lilac gems in the corners.
