Kitty Bee DT Card - Flowers

We're at the halfway point of our "Flowers" challenge at Kitty Bee, so you still have a week to play along. We're sponsored this time by Star Stampz and Crafty Sentiments, both of whom kindly gave the DT some image to play with.  I, however, ended up using a Crafty Sentiments digi from my own collection, an image called Ladybird and Butterfly, which I coloured with my Promarkers.
The patterned papers are from a Dovecraft pack called More or Less, I added in some soft jade paper and a brown doily for matting.  The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from a Stampin' Up set, I inked the edges with brown ink.
To embellish, I added some peach pearls, and some flowers and foliage made with Crafter's Companion dies.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Crafty Catz - #360 - Doilies

A Gem of a Challenge DT Card - Add a Butterfly

We have a new challenge for you today at A Gem of a Challenge, this fortnight our theme is "Add a Butterfly".  You can add one or loads, it's up to you, as long as we can see at least one butterfly on your project.
I decided to make a start on my Easter cards with my DT card, using the super cute Bunny With Carrots from the Pink Gem store on my card.  I coloured him with my Promarkers and added some colourful punched butterflies to the garden scene.
The papers, patterned and plain, apart from the dark blue and green, are from Dovecraft's Hoppy Easter range, the sentiment die and flower dies are from that range too; the flowers match the blooms on the paper exactly.  The foliage was cut with a Crafter's Companion die and the little garden tools were made with First Edition dies.
The final touch was to add some light blue pearls to the corners.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Passion for Promarkers - #380 - All Creatures Great and Small
Scrappers Delights - #63 - Anything Goes
Use Your Stuff - #249 - Animals
Cuttlebug Mania - Hobby - Gardening - See main post for dies used

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Hats

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Hats" and we're sponsored by Doctor Digi, who kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I, however, chose a Doctor Digi image from my own collection for my card, called Simply Santa, colouring him with my Promarkers and adding some Ultra Fine Flower Soft to give him a fluffy beard.  I also used this to create a border round the edge of the topper.
The papers, including those used on the die cut presents, are Papermania, from a pack called A Letter to Santa, some of them have lovely gold foiling on them.  The sentiment stamp used is Papermania too.  The cute present die is from Crafter's Companion, I couldn't resist giving each parcel a gold mirri bow.  The finishing touch was to add a large double bow.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Cuttlebug Mania - Santa Baby - Crafter's Companion present die and Spellbinders circles.

Kitty Bee DT Card - Birthdays

We are at the halfway point of our "Birthdays" challenge at Kitty Bee, you still have a week to play along.  We're sponsored this time by All Dressed Up and Make It Crafty, both of whom kindly gave the DT some image to play with, I chose to use the super cute Carlie With Flowers, from Make It Crafty, and I have to say that I really enjoyed colouring her with my Promarkers.
The bright and beautiful papers are from a Craftwork Cards pad called Countryside, in my favourite colour combo of pink and green.  I added some deep pink card for matting and inked all the edges with dark brown ink.
To embellish, I added some crochet lace, some hot pink satin ribbon with a double bow, a sentiment tag stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp, some butterflies made with Xcut dies and topped with tiny pink pearls, a flower made with a Crafter's Companion die and topped with Card Candi that matched the paper pad I used and finally, a leafy flourish cut with a Spellbinder die.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
QKR Stampede - #211 - Cut It up
As You Like It - Favourite Colour Combo - I love pink and green, any shades of pink and green, they are opposite each other on the colour wheel and complimentary colours appeal to me.  I even got married in pink and green, although in softer tones than on this card!

Crafty Boots GDT Card - All Squared Up

After being placed in the top three in a recent challenge at Crafty Boots, I was very kindly asked if I would like a guest spot with them for their "All Squared Up" challenge, which is running just now, you still have a week to get your square themed projects linked up.  Always happy to oblige, here is my square creation, another Christmas card to add to my not so small stack, I'm doing quite well with my festive makes.
The papers used here are from two First Edition pads, Gilded Winter and Silent Night, both very soft, muted colours.  I used some oyster coloured pearl card for matting.
The squares were cut with Crafter's Companion Die'sire dies, they're the nesting component of an accordion card set and have lovely faux stitched detail.  The little scalloped square in the centre is from the same set, I stamped a sentiment onto it with a stamp from a magazine freebie set.
The mistletoe was cut with an Xcut die from dark green card, it looks much darker in the photos than it does in reality.  I added blobs of Liquid Pearls to form the berries.
To finish my card, I added some clear glass dew drops to the corners and some high gloss pearls to the central square.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Glitter 'n' Sparkle - #206 - Anything Goes

Kitty Bee DT Card - All About Animals

We're at the halfway point of our "All About Animals" challenge at Kitty Bee, and this time we're sponsored by Aurora Wings, who kindly gave the DT some super cute digis to play with.  I used Swan Lake Ballerina Kitten for my DT card, colouring her with Promarkers and adding some Stampendous Gold Halo glitter to her costume for a bit of sparkle.
The background was embossed with an old magazine freebie embossing folder, over which I added a layer of plain white cardstock.  I used a Spellbinders Floral Oval die to create the frame fro the image and a Sue Wilson die to cut the banner for the sentiment, which was stamped with a stamp from a Personal Impressions set.
To embellish, I layered some organza and satin ribbon with some glittery lace, along with a matching button topped bow, and I added some flowers made with Crafter's Companion dies.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Flower Love Bug

It's that time of the month when I share my Kitty Bee showcase card, this month I've chosen to use Flower Love Bug, which I coloured with my Promarkers in bright, summery colours.
The backing paper and paper used to make the flowers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Sunny Side Up, to which I've added navy cardstock and a doily.  The sentiment tags were stamped with Lili of the Valley stamps, cut out and topped with a navy pearl.
To embellish, I added some polka dot grosgrain ribbon with a matching bow, and some flowers and foliage made with a Crafter's Companion Sara Davis die set.

Magi by Starlight

I had my Starlight paints out to create the background for this card, it sparkles so much more in reality than the camera can capture.
I splodged Amethyst, Cyclamen and Antique Gold  Starlight paints, from Imagination Crafts, onto a craft mat and moved them around with a piece of kitchen towel, then spritzed with water and swirled a sheet of Sheena Stamping Card through the paint a few times to pick it up.  Once dry you have the most beautiful shimmery, sparkly, swirly backing paper.
The design on the front of the card was made with a Create a Card die from Crafter's Companion, which I borrowed from my friend, Donna.  It's huge and embosses beautiful detail into the design which hasn't been captured at all well in the photos.
I decided to add no embellishment at all to this one, leaving the lovely die cut and sparkly paints to speak for themselves, simply matting the image onto black card and lilac and soft gold satin board.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Brown Sugar - #204 - Anything Goes

Simply Create Too - #112 - Christmas in July

Kitty Bee DT Card - Girly Cards

We're at the halfway point of our "Girly Cards" challenge at Kitty Bee, this time we're sponsored by Art by Miran and The Stamping Boutique.  Both of the sponsors gave the DT a couple of images to play with, I chose to use this fun digi from The Stamping Boutique, colouring her with my Promarkers to make another Christmas card to add to my slowly growing pile.
The papers are from an ancient DCWV pad called Rose Tinted Christmas, I inked all the edges with black ink and added some hot pink mirri to frame the topper, which I did with a Spellbinders Floral Oval die cut.
To embellish, I added some hot pink lace, some grey ribbon with some foil printed ribbon layered over it with a matching button topped bow, a die cut snowflake, cut with a Crafter's Companion die, with a foiled Christmas sentiment in the centre, some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the corners for faux pearls and lastly, some clear gems scattered around the image.

Welcome Baby Eva

Another baby card today, this time for a baby girl called Eva.  As with yesterday's card, I used a Lili of the Valley stamp, colouring some areas of the image with Promarkers and paper piecing others.  The sentiment stamp is also from Lili of the Valley, and the banner and letter stamps are from Papermania.
I created a shaped card base using a 6x6 blank and my new Crafter's Companion die set, from the Mr & Mrs range, I love the lacy edge it gives.
The papers are Papermania, Capsule Collection, Wild Rose, I added some paper to the inside of the card so that the fancy edge shows up against it.
The stitched and scalloped circles were also made with Crafter's Companion Dies, the doily was made with an Xcut die.
To embellish, I made some flowers with another new Crafter's Companion die set (I was at a Crafter's Companion demo at the weekend and they were on offer), and finished off with plenty of pearls.
