Here's a card I made for my pastor and his family for Easter. His wife is a very keen gardener and florist so I thought that daffodils would be the perfect choice!
The stamp is actually a Papermania tile stamp but I've just used the central element and cut it out rather than the whole square. I stamped in Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and coloured with Promarkers. I'm lovin' the new Joanna Sheen Satin Elegance cardstock for Promarkering and you can stamp with Distress Ink and colour straight a way without heat setting. It's by far the nicest stamping card I've used and at 300gsm it's good and sturdy.
The patterned papers are all K&Co, part of a huge bargain pack, used alongside some kraft and Tim Holtz Core'dinations which has been torn to reveal the core. I distressed the edges of all the layers with a bluntish craft knife.
The sentiment is simply handwritten in my everyday handwriting for a personal touch using an olive green Whispers pen.
Some ruffled ribbon, lace, buttons and pearls add to the vintage look.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Card Patterns - #159 - sketch
The Crafty Pad - #162 - the perfect pair
Made Especially for You - use three buttons
Lexi's Creations - #61 - Easter
Really Reasonable Ribbon - #44 - spring and ribbon
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - #131 - new season
