We have a challenge with a difference for you, starting today over at Fussy and Fancy. This time it's not cards we want to see, but a gift bag with matching tag. If you scroll down to the post below this one, you'll find a step by step tutorial for my cute gift pouch with pockets made from one sheet of 12x12 paper. The idea is not mine, I first saw this made by Geraldine Carruthers at a Docrafts demo and thought it was such a darling project that I wanted to share it. Thanks for the inspiration Geraldine!
I made my gift pouch from a sheet of Papermania Happy Days 12x12 double sided paper. Heavyweight scrapbooking paper is the ideal medium for this project, any thicker and it's difficult to fold crisply. I decorated it with some punched lace made with a Martha Stewart punch, a feather and layered paper flowers held together with a glitter brad. The tag was decorated using the same punch and a foiled sentiment from Craftwork Cards.
A bag of Thornton's chocolates is the perfect size to fit inside.
A gift card can be popped in the pocket at the back.
The tag for the front pocket.
I'm entering this project in the following challenges -
Sarah Hurley - #77 - anything but a card
Creative Card Crew - #29 - chocolate
Craft your Passion - #148 - pastels
The Crazy Challenge - #138 - birthday
Jellypark - so sweet
Brown Sugar - #28 - anything goes
