I've been having fun with magazine freebies again, the Woodware stamp set is free with Papercraft Essentials and the papers came with Quick Cards Made Easy. I love the pretty colours of the paper pack, and I especially like the cute owl patterns, I think they work really well with the owl stamp.
The patchwork owl was begging to be paper pieced which I did with some sweet ditzy print papers. To continue the home-spun look I added faux stitching with a black fine liner and matted everything onto kraft.
The felt flowers have been in my stash since the dawn of time, I thought the colours and naive shape made them just right for this card. I added some pretty, pink flower shaped buttons threaded with baker's twine and I couldn't resist the temptation to use googly eyes, this image was crying out for them!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
