I had a lovely crafternoon with my Mum, playing with our new My Mind's Eye papers and this cute Lili of the Valley stamp. Mum isn't the most confident with her Promarkers so we coloured this image step by step together and she was really happy with how her's turned out. I'll never tire of colouring this one, I think it's perfect to cheer up someone who's under the weather.
I really like the colour combo in this paper pack and thought the muted tones worked well with the addition of kraft. All the edges were inked with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink to soften the look and add to the vintage feel.
The punched border was done with one of Mum's Martha Stewart punches, I have to say I'm tempted to get this one myself as I think it'd be very versatile. The flower was made with a Marianne die, I chose to make a rose to echo the roses on one of the papers. I borrowed a stamp of Mum's for the sentiment too, we usually craft together at mine so it made a nice change to use some of her stuff as a change to mine, there's nothing like a rummage through someone else's stamps and punches!
I finished my card with a brown ribbon, matching bow and three pearls.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Whoopsi Daisy - ribbon or lace
