Concertina Baby Card

A very dear friend has just had her third son and I wanted to make a special and personal card to celebrate.  I decided on a concertina card made from three small square card blanks which can be tied up with a ribbon.

I used a sweet Forever Friends stamp set, colouring the images with Promarkers after stamping with Rich Cocoa Memento for a soft look.
The papers are Marianne Eline's Nursery, to which I've added kraft card, inking all the edges with either Walnut Stain or Tea Dye Distress Inks.  The patterned lettering is from the same paper pack.

I used various peel offs and stickers to personalize the card.  You can see he's a big strapping lad at 9lb 7oz and he's not her biggest baby!  The mini envelope contains the handwritten message to the proud parents and I used a Tim Holtz die to make the clock face set at the time of birth.  I wanted to include the baby's name but he hasn't got one yet and I wanted to get the card finished!
