Trimming the Tree

You may have noticed my new look blog; well, I had to change it, because as of the 19th of October Leelou blog templates will no longer be free.  I was unaware of this until I read about it on someone else's blog, so I'm passing on the info in case there are others out there who don't know about it either.  I got my new template from The Cutest Blog on the Block and I'm quite pleased with how it looks.
 This cute stamp is a golden oldie, a wood mounted one from years ago, I've coloured it with my usual Promarkers and used a silver gel pen for the stars.  The sentiment stamp is from a Popcorn bear set, but I thought it went rather well with this image.
The papers are Papermania, Midi Spots from the Festive Capsule Collection, I picked them up cheap in Hobby Craft a few weeks ago.  I added in some matte silver card and some green card, which I embossed with a Sizzix snowflake folder and then highlighted the raised pattern slightly with some green gilding wax.
To embellish, I added some stars made with Xcut dies and a scattering of clear gems in assorted sizes.

    Fab card, such a cute image and great layout.

    I used to have a blog background, but couldn't find one that I liked long term - so now I'm naked and proud of it!!!!
