Eggs Don't Grow on Trees......

But trees do grow on eggs!  Another felt project today, I made these a while ago but didn't get round to blogging them, the spring cherry tree egg is much larger than the autumn one, just so you get an idea of the scale, and watch out, it's a picture heavy post, it's so much harder to photograph a dimensional project then a flat card!
I started off with styrofoam eggs, which I wet felted with merino wool.  Once dry the trees were needle felted on.  I used Blue Faced Leicester wool curls for the trunks and branches, and merino and a selection of silks for the blossom and leaves.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges -
CRAFT - #256 - Not a Card
2 Creative Chicks - #13 - Use Mod Podge or Styrofoam
Through the Purple Haze - #38 - Creativity Strikes
That Craft Place - Easter
