I Love Promarkers DT Card - Clean and Simple

It's that time of the week again when we start a new challenge at I Love Promarkers, this week our theme is, "Clean and Simple" and we're sponsored by Doctor Digi.  I used to dread CAS challenges, but I really enjoy them now, although I find it harder to make a CAS card with a coloured image, I usually prefer masking with Distress Inks and stamps.  My husband loves this style of card, he's home from hospital now and wants a couple of thank you cards for the wards he was in, so this ties in very nicely with this week's challenge theme!

 I've used a Papermania, Lucy Cromwell stamp, coloured, of course, with Promarkers.  I always enjoy colouring this one, it's great fun to shade and you can go wild with as many or as few colours as you want.  I've cut the image out with Spellbinders, Adorning Squares Dies, my Mother's Day present this year.  I got to choose my own present as hubby was in hospital, my son's only seven so not old enough to go shopping himself.  I've had my eye on this set for a while and I'm just delighted with them.  The sentiment stamp is Papermania too, but from a different set.
For the border, I masked off a square in the middle and inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, adding Picked Raspberry in the corners.  My camera has a real problem photographing reds and pinks, the flower in the cup and the edges to the border are not so eye-wateringly bright in reality....... and this is after photo editing!
