Birds 'n' Bits Pop Up Box Card

These are all over the web so I had to make one!  I have made one before, but many moons ago, and the Monday nighters were all keen to have a go at our usual crafty gathering, so it was pop up box cards all round this week, after tea and home made lemon and lavender cupcakes, of course!

 I made the box on my Hougie board and covered it with Papermania Capsule Collection papers in Heather and Aqua, the flowers are made from the same papers, using Woodware punches.  I added punched lace, made with a Martha Stewart punch, to the box flaps, and a Craftwork Cards sentiment to the front flap.  On the back of the box, I made a little pocket with a tag for writing a greeting on.  The birds, birdcages and foliage inside the box were all cut with Spellbinders dies, I inked some elements with Dusty Concord or Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and I frantaged the cages with Shabby White enamel.  I used white craft wire to attach the embellishments to the box.  It's amazing that the whole thing folds flat for posting!
