Santa Express!

It was our usual Monday night craft session last night, and after home baked mocha madeleines with a chocolate dip, we all made cards with my lovely Stampendous steam train post card stamp that I bought last year at the SECC, to tuck away for this year's Christmas cards.
I stamped the image onto Neenah Desert Storm card, coloured the holly and oval frame with Promarkers, then used a white coloured pencil to pick out the snow and steam in the main picture.  To add to the vintage, shabby look, I used Stampendous Aged Gold embossing enamel round the edges of the topper.
The patterned papers are all Papermania, Victorian Christmas, from the latest goody bag, they're gorgeous, much nicer than I thought they were going to be, and super quality too.  I kept the layout simple as the image is so large, adding interest with a Martha Stewart border punch.
To embellish, I added a fancy tag made from textured gold card, cut with a Sizzix die (from a set I got as a birthday present), which I layered with ivory ribbon and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.  I also added some die cut holly, made with Spellbinders dies.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

Deep Ocean - #86 - Vintage
