Sparkly Butterflies

I made this card for a butterfly loving friend, using Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium, and one of their pretty butterfly stencils.

 I created the background with acrylic paint on my Gelli Plate, there is a subtle pattern there that I achieved using an Imagination Crafts leafy vine stencil.  I then used a butterfly stencil and applied purple Sparkle Medium through it, straight onto the painted background.  I used the same stencil and Diamond Sparkle Medium, but his time applied it to acetate, then, one dry, I cut the butterflies out and attached them with small brads, over the purple butterflies on the background.
I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix On The Edge die to cut the butterflies to decorate the top and right edge of the card, using home made glitter card, made by brayering Diamond Sparkle Medium onto white cardstock.  I added some dots of Lavender Liquid Pearls for the bodies of the butterflies.
To embellish, I used scraps of the glitter card and die cut and punched butterflies with a Tonic punch and Xcut dies, and finished with a scattering of lilac gems.
