A Partridge In A Pear Tree

A simple Christmas card today, using a lovely die that I bought at the SECC in October.  It's a Sweet Dixie die, it was very inexpensive, and I have to say that I'm impressed at the quality and detail at such a low price.
The striped paper is Lili of the Valley, from my Always and Forever pack, and the rose patterned card is from Craft Habitat, it's beautifully pearlised and has a gorgeous shimmer that you can't see in the photo.  I tore it to add interest and glued it to some cream pearl card.  I cut the partridge in a pear tree die cut from gold mirri, and used more of the same for matting, adding die cut corners, made with Sue Wilson snowflake corners, cut from pink card and gently rubbed with gold gilding wax to highlight the embossing.  The final touch was some pink gems.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Crimbo Crackers - #99 - Anything Christmas Goes
The Glory of Christmas - #76 - Silver or Gold
Eclectic Ellapu - 12 Days of Christmas
Crafty Cardmakers - #156 - Punches and / or Dies
A Snowflakes Promise - #15 - Anything Christmas Goes
Fab 'n' Funky - #289 - Christmas
Cupcake Inspirations - #344 - Colour Combo
