Santa's On His Way!

Another Christmas card today, this time made with a couple of Britannia dies and a simple black and white colour scheme.
It proved hard to photograph because I used some self-adhesive glitter film over black card as the backdrop to my village, which is both shiny and glittery, neither of which are friends of my camera.  In reality, it looks much prettier, the black actually has a lot of different colours in the glitter that hasn't shown up in the pictures.
I used an A5 blank and stamping card, both from Anna Marie Designs, I find this card has a nice weight for embossing and layering, as well as all kinds of 3D projects, it's not just for stamping.  The embossing was done with a Sheena Douglass embossing folder, I thought that it complimented the snowy scene well.  All the layers were raised up on shaker tape to add depth.
As mentioned above, the dies used are Britannia dies; the village die is all one die, it cuts out the top of the oval and gives a dotted line for the bottom.  I simply cut an overly for the image by cutting it a second time, and, using a craft knife, cutting along the dotted line to completely remove the image, just leaving a perfect frame.  The Santa and his reindeer die has nice embossing on it which can't be seen in the photos on the black card.
To embellish, I added some glittery lace and some silver edged ribbon with a matching double bow.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
