Ok, so it's the box that's exploding not the chick, but it got your attention eh!
Here's what I made with my crafty girlies last night. We all had a go at exploding boxes for Easter, mine's for my friend, Vic, who loves handmade presents although she's not a crafter herself.
The homebaking this week was mango, coconut and lime cookies. I made a batch of twenty yesterday and they've all gone, I'd better get my apron on and get baking again! Tea, homebake and crafting, can you get a better evening?!
The exploding box was made with plain, yellow cardstock matted with Papermania Capsule Collection papers in Blueberry Pie. I love yellow and blue together for spring projects.
The flowers on the inside were made with Nellie Snellen punches, a Spellbinders Anemone die and a Woodware punch, all from Papermania Capsule Collection papers in Lemon Sorbet.
The fuzzy chick came in a pack from Poundland, bargain!
I kept the outside of the box quite plain so the fun is all on the inside and gives you a nice surprise!
I used one of Ruth's cute digis from A Passion For Stamps on the box lid. My wee boy, Robbie started singing "Row, row, row your egg" when he saw it!
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and added a touch of Diamond Stickles.
I'm entering this in the following challenges -
The Crafty Pad - #164 - something that comes from an egg
Digital Tuesday - #154 - Easter
Creative Craft Challenges - anything but a card
Always Crafting - #5 - anything but a card
Love to Create - #9 - bunnies/chickies
Totally Stampalicious - anything but a card
Fruit and Nut (no, not chocolate!)
