I had the urge to make a male card the other day, not something that happens very often as I usually find them the trickiest. I find it sooo hard not to pile on the embellishments!
The image is from a Personal Impressions stamp set which I got for Christmas and hadn't got round to inking. What was that? Did I hear mutterings about me having too many stamps? I'm sure that's not even possible! I stamped him in Memento in Rich Cocoa for a softer look and doodled some notes because his face looks like he's whistling. I coloured him with Promarkers and masked him of with a post it note mask. I then used a cloud mask cut from copy paper to make the sky using an ink duster and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Finally, I added seed beads for eyes.
The papers are Papermania Go Green, the perfect papers for gardening themed cards.
I've added some baker's twine and a teeny wooden ladybird to add some interest to the image.
The leaves were made with Cuttlebug dies and embossed with various folders for a bit of texture.
The leafy border is a yummy Martha Stewart punch and the buttons are from my mahoosive bag of Boofle buttons.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Stampin' for the Weekend - #7 - teddies
Seems a Little Sketchy - #10 - sketch
Twisted Tuesday - #1 - clouds
Buttercup and Lil Pine
