Old Fashioned Sewing

Some more vintage from me.  My Mum ordered one of the Spellbinders Pick of the Weeks from Create and Craft and in that bundle were the Sewing Elements and Square Swatches die sets.  She very kindly let me take them home to play with and this is what I came up with.  I had a lovely, crafty evening with my friend, Alison, playing with these dies, we even had a cheeky glass of vino afterwards.  We have tried crafting with a glass of wine in the past but it wasn't a great success so we leave it til afterwards now!
The papers are Papermania V&A Quilt collection and were perfect for this project as they are based on fabric designs and have a linen texture.  The plain, cream card was aged with Distress Ink in Antique Linen and I stamped a lace border from a Personal Impressions stamp set down one side.  The freebie with Papercraft Inspirations this month is rolls of patterned tape, I added some of the tape measure design to the horizontal strip.  I had my mini sewing machine out again to add some stitching to add to the sewing theme.
Some random pearls finish it off.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Sassy Studio - #119 - go for broke with patterned papers and embellies
Papercraft Star - #91 - anything goes
Divas by Design - #29 - anything goes
Cupcake Craft - #186 - sewing box
