Little Birdhouse

As it was Monday yesterday I had my crafty girlies over to play.  After tea and homebaked toffee apple cookies we all made one of these super cute birdhouses.  The pattern is a free download, you can get it here.  I printed it directly onto the back of woodgrain cardstock so all I had to do was cut it out, make the roof, die cut the door and assemble, adding a ribbon loop so it can be hung up.
I then went to town with the embellishment!  I cut out ivy leaves with an Xcut punch to decorate one side and the roof and continued the leafy theme using a Martha Stewart punch which I added front and back.  The bird was die cut with dies from my Spellbinders Mixed Media set and was inked with Pumice Stone Distress ink while still in the die.  I added some detail with a tiny black gem for his eye.  The flowers were made with my new Woodware punch.
I'm entering this project in the following challenges -
That Craft Place - #9 - anything but square or rectangle
Cupcake Craftroom - things with wings
Top Tip Tuesday - anything but a card
