A Gem of a Challenge Dt Card - Emboss It

It's challenge time again over at A Gem of a Challenge, and this week our theme is "Emboss It".  I managed to squeeze no less than three embossing folders into my card!

I decided to go girly for my card, and used the pretty "Daisy Jodie" Pink Gem digi which you'll find in the store here.  She's been coloured with my usual Promarkers in bright, summery colours.
The patterned papers are Fancy Pants Beach Babe and were a magazine freebie last year, I love the zesty colour combo.  The patterned paper panel behind the image was embossed with a Sheena Douglass folder which I'd inked with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  Once embossed I gently sanded to help reveal more of the raised design.  I really like this pattern on pattern, colour on colour effect.  The green pearl cardstock was embossed with an Embossalicious folder, then sanded.  All the edges have been inked with more Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.
The sentiment was also created with an embossing folder, this time a small, Papermania sentiment folder which I inked with Picked Raspberry DI, and once embossed, went round the lettering with a dark pink fineliner pen for more definition.
The flower was made with a Spellbinders die, the leaves with Marianne ones, there's more embossing on those too!  A button topped bow and some gems finish of my textured card.
