Another Taste of India

I've been playing with my Sheena Douglass Taste of India stamps again, this time it was the Henna Mango set, and once again I went bold and bright with the colours.
To create the background, I stamped the small mango design randomly on the card in Perfect Medium, then swept Pan Pastels over with sponges, blending the colours together.  The pastel clings beautifully to the stamped images, giving the same gradation of colour as the background, only more intense.  After setting the pastel with hairspray, I used a small flower stamp from the set to stamp in between the mangoes using Picked Raspberry and Wild Honey Distress Inks.  Next, I used a plastic stencil and some more Picked Raspberry ink to add a hint of pattern to the top of the card, sponging through the stencil with Cut and Dry foam, before going round the edges of the whole piece with Black Soot Distress Ink.
With the background complete, I then stamped and heat embossed the large image with gold powder, I also heat embossed an extra flower on pink card, cut it out, filled the petals with Glossy Accents, added gems to the centre, ready to be decoupaged onto the image with foam pads at the end.  I coloured the image with a white paint pen and a green metallic gel pen, then went round the outline with a black Micron pen for definition.  The final touches were to add a border of white dots with the paint pen, add the flower, and mat onto gold pearl card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Artistic Inspirations - #91 - No Designer Paper
Card Mania - #46 - Emboss It
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - M is For ... - Mango, Magenta Pan Pastel, Mask, Micron Pen
Robyn's Fetish - 211 - Cards With Flowers in the Image
