Summer Blues .......and Greens!

I've had this lovely Bugaboo digi for a while but until now hadn't used her; so I had to put that right, and, despite the cold, wet weather we've been having here in Inverness, I decided to make a summery card and bring a little sunshine into my craft room.

 I coloured the image with my usual Promarkers, cut her out with a Spellbinders Grand Oval die and mounted her onto another Spellbinders die cut, this time Floral Ovals, one of my favourites.
The papers are a real stash mash, all part sheets from different packs, mainly elderly ones.  I used a Crafter's Companion basket weave embossing folder on the scrap of Gemstones Core'dinations to add a bit of texture.  What looks like black for some of the matting, is actually a dark petrol blue / green, it is dark, but not quite as dark as the photo has shown it.
To embellish, I've added some lace, a layered bow, flowers made with Sue Wilson dies, green gems and a Craftwork Cards sentiment which hasn't shown up very well in the photos, the silver ones never seem to photograph well, it says, "On Your Special Day".
