I Love Promarkers DT Card - Transport

It's time for a new challenge at I Love Promarkers, this time our theme is "Transport", and we're sponsored by Digital Delights, who very kindly gave the DT some cute digis to play with.  I chose to use Flying Santa, colouring the image with my Promarkers, or course, and adding a touch of Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes for a bit of festive sparkle.  I think that this lovely image is just perfect for a boy's Christmas card.
The patterned card is an off-cut that has been in my stash for ages, I teamed it with some bright red card and inked all the edges with Gray Flannel Memento ink for definition.   The sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp, I thought it was perfect for the Santa image.
I kept the embellishments simple on this one, adding just some silver edged ribbon with a double bow, and some Christmas lights made with a Sweet Dixie die.  I coloured the bulbs with a red Promarkers and covered where I'd coloured with Glossy Accents.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

The papers are from a Papermania pack called Pocket Full of Posies, I picked it up for a pound at the SECC show last October.  I scuffed all the edges with my Tim Holtz tool for a shabby look and added kraft card for matting.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - CAS

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this time our theme is "Clean and Simple" and we're sponsored by the wonderful Dr Digi, who very kindly gave the DT some fun images to play with.  I decided to use a Dr Digi image from my own collection, called Duncan Disorderly, to make my husband's birthday card; he was into punk music back in the day, still loves it now but masquerades as a respectable primary school teacher by day!
I have, of course, used my Promarkers to colour the image.
The safety pin border was stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp and the splatters were stamped in Barn Door and Weathered Wood Distress Inks using an Inkylicious stamp set.  The sentiment was computer generated.

It's challenge time once again at I Love Promarkers, this time our theme is the ever popular "Anything Goes", and we're sponsored by The Paper Shelter, who very kindly gave the DT some image to play with.  I chose to use Dragon's Birthday, colouring the image with my Promarkers, of course, in colours suitable for a male card.
The patterned papers are from an ancient Papermania pad called Little Cake Shoppe, to which I've added kraft card for matting and mirri and satin board for die cutting.  The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from a Personal Impressions set.
All the die cuts were made with the same set, an Xcut birthday party themed set that I use a lot.  The finishing touch was to add a few blobs of Buttermilk Nuvo Drops.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Use Something New

We're back with a new challenge for the new year at I Love Promarkers, and this fortnight our theme is "Use Something New".  Yep, a lot of the use of the word "new" in one sentence!  We're sponsored this time by Kenny K, who very kindly gave the DT some image to play with, I chose this fun digi, called Ice Skate Kate, for my card, colouring her with my Promarkers, of course, and getting a head start with my Christmas cards.  It's never too early!
The papers I've used for the background and the mittens are the first of my "new things", they were a Christmas present.  They're from The Works and are a 12x12 double sided pad of Christmas designs in a nice heavy weight.
My other new items are the two pompom trims, which I've layered up, both from Hobby Craft, and the sentiment stamp, which is from a Woodware set.
The only other embellishment I've added is a pair of mittens made with a Memory Box die, which I've hung from baker's twine.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Hats

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Hats" and we're sponsored by Doctor Digi, who kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I, however, chose a Doctor Digi image from my own collection for my card, called Simply Santa, colouring him with my Promarkers and adding some Ultra Fine Flower Soft to give him a fluffy beard.  I also used this to create a border round the edge of the topper.
The papers, including those used on the die cut presents, are Papermania, from a pack called A Letter to Santa, some of them have lovely gold foiling on them.  The sentiment stamp used is Papermania too.  The cute present die is from Crafter's Companion, I couldn't resist giving each parcel a gold mirri bow.  The finishing touch was to add a large double bow.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Snowmen

It's time for a new challenge at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Snowmen" and we're sponsored by Coll Art (Letraset).
I decided to use an old Papermania stamp from the Tulip collection, which is great fun to colour with Promarkers as there is so much detail.  The snap on fine nibs do come in handy for this one!  I added some white Nuvo Drops sprinkled with Glamour Dust for all the snowy detail and stuck on a few sequins to up the bling factor.
The rather sweet snowman paper is from a Trimcraft pack called Santa's Workshop, I just added in some festive red card for matting.  The trees were stamped with Heartfelt Creations stamps and cut out with matching dies.
To embellish, I added some gingham ribbon, and a bow threaded with a ribbon slider.

We have a new challenge for you today at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "No Patterned Paper", and we're sponsored by Digital Delights, who kindly gave the DT some cute images to play with.  I chose to use Festive Flamingo, colouring him with my Promarkers, of course, then fussy cutting him out and sticking him to my card with foam pads.
Instead of patterned paper, I created a snowflake panel with a beautiful Sue Wilson die, simply layering two shades of pink together, and adding blobs of Pink Champagne Nuvo Drops to the centres of the snowflakes.
The sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp, and the fairy lights were cut with a Sweet Dixie die and covered with pretty pink glitter.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - White on White

It's challenge time once again at I Love Promarkers; this fortnight our theme is "White on White with a Coloured Image", and we're sponsored by Doctor Digi, who very kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I chose the use Elvis the Elf, colouring him, of course, with my Promarkers, then fussy cutting him out.
I added some piercing round the edges of the base layer of card, then some faux stitching with a Quickie glue pen and Glamour Dust for a little bit of sparkle against the white background.  To create the foreground, I simply used some torn card with a sentiment stamped on with a Papermania Honey and Hugs stamp, I thought the fun font went rather well with the style of the digi.
The house was die cut with a Spellbinders die set from star dust card, and embellished with iridescent gems.

Although she's wasn't designed as a Christmas digi, I decided that she'd make a nice focal point for a modern, fun Christmas card in contemporary colours, along with a sassy sentiment which I computer generated.
The bright and cheerful papers are from a Dovecraft pack called Merry Magic, it's been lurking in my stash for years, but it's great for when you want a burst of colour.

The patterned papers are Papermania, Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection from the Festive colour range, I chose a couple of sheets of icy blue, but there are much stronger reds and greens in the pack too.  I used navy blue for matting, using a Spellbinders Floral oval die to make the frame for the image.  The sentiment is Papermania too, from a set festive stamps that I've had for ages and use time and time again.

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Use Dies" and we're sponsored by Dr Digi, who kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I chose to use Cake and Candles, colouring with my Promarkers and highlighting the icing and candle flames with Star Dust Stickles, which, unfortunately, hasn't shown up very well in the photos.
I've gone for a CAS layout for this one, using just one patterned paper, a very old piece of Papermania paper that's been in my stash for ages, I think it may even predate my nine year old son!  I added some dotty doodling round the edges of the patterned layer for a bit of interest, and also to echo the pierced pattern on the banners.   The white tag is from Papermania too.
The banners were cut with Sue Wilson dies, I stamped the sentiment with a stamp from a Personal Impression set, and the stars were made with Xcut dies from scraps of pearl card in the colours of the top, middle and bottom layers of the cake.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Christmas in July

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight we're giving you a chance to get a head start with your Christmas cards, as our theme is "Christmas in July".  We are sponsored this time by Col Art (Letraset) and Opal Crafts, meaning you have double the chance to win as we have two sponsors for this challenge!
I've gone cute and CAS for my DT card, and I've managed to keep it totally flat so that it can go standard post and not large letter like most of my cards do.
The cute character and sentiment stamps I used were both from a magazine freebie set from ages ago, until now uninked.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and added crystal glitter to the bunny's fur trim for some festive sparkle sparkle.
I created the background very simply, using torn paper, Salty Ocean Distress Ink and a Clarity dusting brush.  The eagle eyed among you will have noticed that there are snowflakes stamped on the background.  These were stamped in Perfect Medium with Papermania stamps, then dusted with a very pale mica powder, and were almost impossible to photograph.  You'll have to take my word for it that they a lovely and shimmery in reality!
Once I'd matted my stamped and inked panel onto the card blank, the final touch was to go around the edges with some Star Dust Stickles for a bit more twinkle.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Fab 'n' Funky - #315 - Christmas

It's our 7th birthday at I Love Promarkers, and to celebrate, our theme this fortnight is "Glitter and Glitz", so get your shimmer on and join the fun.
We're sponsored this time by Fabrika Fantasy, who kindly gave the DT some digis to play with, I chose to use Earth Fairy, which I coloured, of course with my Promarkers, then went wild with Glamour Dust to add the glitter and glitz element.
The pretty patterned paper and the paper I made the flowers from is from a Prima pad called Meadow Lark, a pack almost too beautiful to use, almost but not quite!  All the plain and pearl cardstock is from Anna Marie Designs.
I used Spellbinders Adorning Rectangles dies to create the frame, Joanna Sheen Signature dies to make the ivy, and Sue Wilson Cornflower dies for the flowers, to which I added a Hobby House dazzler to the centre of each for even more sparkle.
