We're at the halfway point of our "Flowers" challenge at Kitty Bee, so you still have a week to play along. We're sponsored this time by Star Stampz and Crafty Sentiments, both of whom kindly gave the DT some image to play with.  I, however, ended up using a Crafty Sentiments digi from my own collection, an image called Ladybird and Butterfly, which I coloured with my Promarkers.
The patterned papers are from a Dovecraft pack called More or Less, I added in some soft jade paper and a brown doily for matting.  The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from a Stampin' Up set, I inked the edges with brown ink.
To embellish, I added some peach pearls, and some flowers and foliage made with Crafter's Companion dies.

Kitty Bee DT Spotlight - Basket of Love Bun

It's the third Wednesday of the month, so it's time for my Kitty Bee DT showcase project, which this time is an Easter card featuring the super cute Basket of Love Bun digi stamp from the Kitty Bee Etsy store.  I've coloured it with my Promarkers and fussy cut it so that it could be stuck to the card with dimensional glue.
The patterned papers, bunting and flower dies are all from Trimcraft's Hoppy Easter range, I used a Spellbinders die to cut the label shape from pink card.  The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from a Hobby Craft set.  A trio of pearls was the final touch to my CAS card.

The papers are from a First Edition pad called Sweet Owl, the plain pink paper is from the same pack.  I embossed the die cut white circle with a Crafts Too folder and randomly added some iridescent gems to it up up the bling factor.

Kitty Bee DT Card - Thanks

We're at the half way point of our "Thanks" challenge at Kitty Bee, which is sponsored by The Paper Shelter and A Day For Daisies.  Both of our sponsors kindly gave the DT some images to play with, but I actually chose to use an A Day For Daisies butterfly digi from my own collection for my card.
The patterned papers are Lili of the Valley, Beach Bliss, apart from the one I printed the butterflies onto: that's a piece of vintage printed card from Anna Marie Designs.  I added in some kraft card for matting, and embossed one of the kraft layers with a Papermania embossing folder, inking with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to highlight the pattern.  I used the same ink on all the paper edges and the doily to soften them a little and give them a shabby look.
I used a Papermania stamp to stamp the sentiment, and die cut it with a Spellbinders die.  I then added the fussy cut butterflies, giving them trails of Nuvo Drops, and I finished off with pearl embellishments in the corners.

Kitty Bee Spotlight Card - It's That Cow Again

It's the third Wednesday of the month which means that it's time for my Kitty Bee showcase project, which this month is card, using the same image as last month: Cow Barely Over the Moon.  It's just so cute, I couldn't resist using it again!
I printed the digi twice, flipping one of them so that once they'd been coloured with Promarkers and cut out, they could be glued back to back and hung in the aperture.  The moon was coloured with a Crafter's Companion clear glitter pen over the Promarker colouring, I then drew on craters with a Quickie glue pen and applied yellow glitter.  The moon sparkles beautifully in real life, I haven't been able to capture it in the photos, in fact the whole project was a nightmare to photograph, it looks so much better in reality than it does in the pics.
I used a sheet of old Papermania Forever Friends paper on the inside of the card and a sheet of magazine freebie paper on the outside, the edges of which I gently inked with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
I added a decorative border to the top of the card, made with a Tonic punch, and border round the aperture, made with Spellbinders dies.  The star embellishments were made with Xcut dies, the sentiment was stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp, and the numeral is a Papermania sticker.  The final touch was to add some gold gems.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes

Kitty Bee DT Card - Birthdays

We are at the halfway point of our "Birthdays" challenge at Kitty Bee, you still have a week to play along.  We're sponsored this time by All Dressed Up and Make It Crafty, both of whom kindly gave the DT some image to play with, I chose to use the super cute Carlie With Flowers, from Make It Crafty, and I have to say that I really enjoyed colouring her with my Promarkers.
The bright and beautiful papers are from a Craftwork Cards pad called Countryside, in my favourite colour combo of pink and green.  I added some deep pink card for matting and inked all the edges with dark brown ink.
To embellish, I added some crochet lace, some hot pink satin ribbon with a double bow, a sentiment tag stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp, some butterflies made with Xcut dies and topped with tiny pink pearls, a flower made with a Crafter's Companion die and topped with Card Candi that matched the paper pad I used and finally, a leafy flourish cut with a Spellbinder die.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Cow Barely Over the Moon

It's that time of the month when I share my Kitty Bee showcase project, which this time is a new baby girl card, featuring Cow Barely Over the Moon from the Kitty Bee Etsy Store.  I coloured the image with Promarkers, apart from the moon, which I coloured with a Crafter's Companion clear glitter pen, then I added craters with a Quickie glue pen and sprinkled on Glamour Dust; this, unfortunately hasn't shown up very well at all in the photos.
The patterned papers are from a First Edition pad called Sweet Owl, I think that the pink and brown colour combo makes them perfect for baby girl cards.  I added in some latte coloured card for matting and one of the banners.
I used a few dies on this one, Xcut ones to cut the doily, rose and little stars, and a Sue Wilson set to make the banners.  I used a Personal Impressions stamp for the sentiment.
The final touches were to add a pretty pink bow and a few pink gems.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Sunflower Bun

It's time for my Kitty Bee Showcase project, which this month is a card featuring the oh so cute Sunflower Bun from the Kitty Bee Etsy store, which I've coloured with my Promarkers.
I've gone for a fresh, summery lemon and white colour scheme for this one, using some elderly Papermania Lemon Sorbet papers along with plain white cardstock and some gorgeous Papermania pure silk ribbon.  I used an EK Success punch to add a bit of interest to one of the white layers.
The finishing touches were a sentiment stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp and three butterflies punched from white paper.

The background was embossed with an old magazine freebie embossing folder, over which I added a layer of plain white cardstock.  I used a Spellbinders Floral Oval die to create the frame fro the image and a Sue Wilson die to cut the banner for the sentiment, which was stamped with a stamp from a Personal Impressions set.
To embellish, I layered some organza and satin ribbon with some glittery lace, along with a matching button topped bow, and I added some flowers made with Crafter's Companion dies.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Flower Love Bug

It's that time of the month when I share my Kitty Bee showcase card, this month I've chosen to use Flower Love Bug, which I coloured with my Promarkers in bright, summery colours.
The backing paper and paper used to make the flowers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Sunny Side Up, to which I've added navy cardstock and a doily.  The sentiment tags were stamped with Lili of the Valley stamps, cut out and topped with a navy pearl.

Kitty Bee DT Card - Summer Fun

We're at the half way point of our "Summer Fun" challenge at Kitty Bee, this fortnight we're sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and Scrap 'N' Dipity, both of whom kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I chose this beautiful digi from Lemon Shortbread called Strawberry Hat Kid, which I coloured with my Promarkers.  The colouring looks much richer in reality, reds never photograph well and the fruits look much flatter than they actually are.
The strawberry paper is from an ancient Papermania pack called Little Cake Shoppe, which I still really like, I have it in A4 and A5, much depleted now.
I cut away a section of card from the right hand side of the blank and glued on a die cut border, cut with a Sizzix die from green pearl card.  I lined the card with red paper so that the die cut foliage really stands out against it.
The sentiment was stamped with a Papermania Daisy and Dandelion stamp and die cut with a Spellbinders die.  Whilst still in the die, I added a little Twisted Citron Distress Ink for a hint of colour, and coloured the butterflies bright red for a bold splash of colour.
The strawberry flowers were made with a punch, I used some yellow glitter flock for the centres, the foliage was created with the same die as the border, I simply snipped it into sprigs.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Creative Corner - Anything Goes
As You Like It - Favourite Colouring Medium and Why - I love Promarkers, I love how they blend and how the colours layer up to a rich, intense shade.  I also find colouring with them very therapeutic.

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Cupcake Surprise Pup.......Again!

It's the third Wednesday of the month, so it's time for my Kitty Bee showcase project, which this month is a cute shaker card using Cupcake Surprise Pup, the same image as last month's card.  He's just so cute I couldn't resist using him again this month!  He's been coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Glossy Accents, then fussy cut and stuck to the card with dimensional glue.
I kept this card fairly simple, making it suitable for a little boy, the colour choice also reflects this and picks out the colours of the image.
I made the shaker card in the traditional way, with foam tape and an acetate front, adding sequins, punched hearts, micro beads, mica flakes and shaved ice as the shaker elements.
The doodled border wasn't drawn on, it was actually stamped with a Papermania border stamp, the sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp too, I added a little colour to it with a red Promarker.
To embellish, I added a red frame to the aperture, cut with Spellbinders dies, and a row of cheerful bunting made with a Joy die.

Passion for Promarkers - #350 - Food and Drink
Get Creative - #41 - Bingo - Stamp, Black/Brown, Sentiment

Kitty Bee Showcase Card - Cupcake Surprise Pup

It's the third Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for my Kitty Bee showcase project; this month I've made a card featuring the adorable Cupcake Surprise Pup, which I've coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Star Dust Stickles and a touch of Glossy Accents.
The patterned papers and sentiment tag are Papermania, from a pack called Happy Birthday, to which I added purple cardstock for matting so that the overall look wasn't too wishy-washy.
I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the cupcake side panels, and I "baked" a couple of cupcakes to match the one in the image using Xcut and Cottage Craft dies, along with a tiny heart punch.  I also added some layered ribbon with a matching bow, and finished with some lilac gems in the corners.

It's that time of the month when I share my Kitty Bee showcase card, this time I chose to use the super cute Sewing Kit, colouring her with Promarkers, then using a Spellbinders Hexagon die and some pretty Papermania, Folk Floral papers, created a patchwork effect.
I really enjoyed embellishing this one!  I found some tape measure ribbon and layered it over yellow lace, which I finished with a button topped bow and a cute as can be sewing machine charm.  I also added a bobbin that I die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and wound with narrow ribbon, some heart topped pins, a trio of buttons, and a sentiment inside a stitched heart that was stamped with a Papermania stamp from the Sew Lovely range.

Kitty Bee DT Project - Living Things With Wings

We're halfway through our "Living Things With Wings" challenge at Kitty Bee, so you still have a week to enter.  This time we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments and Robyn's Fetish, both of whom gave the DT some images to play with, I chose this lovely bird and birdhouse digi from Robyn's Fetish for my DT sample, which this time is a wall hanging.
I coloured the digi with Promarkers, then made the wall hanging out of thick packaging card, which I covered with Lili of the Valley, Shabby Shack papers, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink on the edges.  The sentiment was a free digi, I can't remember where it came from, I matted it up to match the image.  I set eyelets in the corners of the card pieces and threaded blue satin ribbon through to hold the two pieces together and to make the hanging loop, finishing with a bow at the top.
To embellish, I went wild with die cuts!  I made flowers, butterflies, foliage and a feather with Spellbinders, Marianne Sue Wilson and Xcut dies, I also stamped a swirly pattern onto the butterflies.  To finish, I added a real feather and a sprinkling of gems.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges -
