Cutie Pie DT Card - Simply Love

We have a new challenge for you today at Cutie Pie, this month our theme is "Simply Love", and we're sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter, who very kindly gave the DT some super cute image to play with.  I chose to use Love Mice, colouring them with my Promarkers.
The papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Heartfelt, I inked all the edges with a Memento ink called Love Letters for definition.  I used the same ink to stamp the LOVE sentiment with a Hobby Craft stamp, I then cut it out with a Spellbinders die, glittered the heart with red Stickles, and, once dry, glazed it with Glossy Accents.  The verse was stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp.
To embellish, I added blobs of Nuvo Drops in red, pearl, pink and clear, along with Star Dust Stickles, gems and die cut and punched hearts to give the effect of tumbling confetti.

Girly and Glam

An unashamedly girly card today, featuring a Papermania stamp set that I haven't used for ages and deserved an inking up.
The dress, shoes and bag, and sentiment are all from the same Papermania Bellissima stamp set.  I coloured the images with Promarkers, stamped a section of the dress onto pink patterned vellum and sprayed it with Spray and Sparkle, then pieced it to the image, attaching it only at the top for some movement.  I then used some lovely Stix2 Anything glitter and micro bead mix to embellish the bodice, using Pinflair glue for glitter to hold it firmly in place.
The papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called, appropriately enough, Little Dress Shoppe, to which I've added some white and kraft card for matting.
To embellish, I added some pretty organza ribbon with a matching double bow, some crystal gems, and a pink heart on the sentiment panel.

Fairy Cake Frolics

I dug out an old Helz Cuppleditch stamp that hadn't seen ink for a while for this card, it always makes me smile.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and added Star Dust Stickles and Glamour Dust for a bit of fairy sparkle.
The patterned paper is from a Papermania pad called The Little Cake Shoppe, it too has been in my stash for a long time.  The sentiment was stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp from a sentiment verse set.  All the edges were inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink for definition.
To embellish, I used a First Edition die set to make kitchen utensils and accessories, including a bright red Kitchen Aid stand mixer that I have long coveted.  I'll have to make do with a paper one for now!

Kitty Bee DT Spotlight - Espresso Bun

It's that time of the month when I share my Kitty Bee spotlight project, which, this month is a card featuring a super cute digi, called Espresso Bun, available from the Kitty Bee Etsy store.
I coloured it with Promarkers and paper pieced the cup, then fussy cut it out so that it could be stuck to the card with glue gel for added dimension.
The patterned papers I used on the cup and teapot are Papermania, Blueberry Hill, the pink gingham cardstock is from Payper Box.
I used Xcut dies to create the doily and the teapot, and I embellished my card with a sentiment stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp, and some pink ribbon with a matching pink bow.

Kitty Bee DT Card - Thanks

We're at the half way point of our "Thanks" challenge at Kitty Bee, which is sponsored by The Paper Shelter and A Day For Daisies.  Both of our sponsors kindly gave the DT some images to play with, but I actually chose to use an A Day For Daisies butterfly digi from my own collection for my card.
The patterned papers are Lili of the Valley, Beach Bliss, apart from the one I printed the butterflies onto: that's a piece of vintage printed card from Anna Marie Designs.  I added in some kraft card for matting, and embossed one of the kraft layers with a Papermania embossing folder, inking with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to highlight the pattern.  I used the same ink on all the paper edges and the doily to soften them a little and give them a shabby look.
I used a Papermania stamp to stamp the sentiment, and die cut it with a Spellbinders die.  I then added the fussy cut butterflies, giving them trails of Nuvo Drops, and I finished off with pearl embellishments in the corners.

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Distress Those Edges", and we're sponsored by Ike's Art, who kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  Being a horse lover, I chose Ponies, which I coloured, of course, with my Promarkers.
The papers are Papermania, Tilly Daydream, to which I added some kraft card and a luggage label; distressing all the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool as I layered everything up.

Woodland Stag

I've been having fun with my Imagination Crafts Starlight paints again, creating a background for this gorgeous stag die cut, which is also from Imagination Crafts.  It's one of my favourite Christmas dies and it cuts like a dream, I've used textured gold card today.
To create the background, I used three colours of Starlight paint, Amethyst, Cyclamen, and Gold, which I blobbed onto a craft mat, spritzed with water and swirled my card through.  The photo doesn't do it justice, you just can't capture the sparkle of the crushed gilding flakes in these paints in a photo.  I got a nice, large A4 sheet made so I've got some left over for other projects.
I kept the rest of the card simple to showcase the large topper, layering up some pretty Lili of the Valley Woodland Wishes papers, and adding some lace, ribbon with a matching double bow, some large plum coloured pearls, and some gold gems to the snowflakes.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

Autumn Shoe

A card that's very much in keeping with the season today, in autumnal colours.  I've used a quirky House of Zandra stamp that I coloured with my Promarkers, this stamp is from Fabulous Shoes Set 2.  The sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley.
The patterned papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Enchanted, they have a lovely autumnal palette.
All the die cut embellishments, except the Michaelmas daisies which were made with Sue Wilson Cornflower dies, were made with my Xcut Forest Flourishes die set.  It's a gorgeous set which has so many dies, I especially like the toadstool.

We are at the halfway point of our "Birthdays" challenge at Kitty Bee, you still have a week to play along.  We're sponsored this time by All Dressed Up and Make It Crafty, both of whom kindly gave the DT some image to play with, I chose to use the super cute Carlie With Flowers, from Make It Crafty, and I have to say that I really enjoyed colouring her with my Promarkers.
The bright and beautiful papers are from a Craftwork Cards pad called Countryside, in my favourite colour combo of pink and green.  I added some deep pink card for matting and inked all the edges with dark brown ink.
To embellish, I added some crochet lace, some hot pink satin ribbon with a double bow, a sentiment tag stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp, some butterflies made with Xcut dies and topped with tiny pink pearls, a flower made with a Crafter's Companion die and topped with Card Candi that matched the paper pad I used and finally, a leafy flourish cut with a Spellbinder die.

40th Birthday Card for a Fabulous Sister

My sister was 40 at the weekend so I had to make her a special card to celebrate her big day.  I opted for an easel card in pretty pastel colours, featuring a Your Next Stamp stamped image that I coloured with Promarkers, paper piecing, and highlighted with Star Dust Stickles.  I won the stamp in a challenge a while ago and kept it aside for just this occasion as my sister does love a cocktail and a pretty dress.
I made the easel card, all the layers, and the stopper element with Grand Spellbinders dies.
The oh so pretty papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Promises, I love the lilac and mint colour combo of this pack.
The birthday sentiment was stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp and the sister sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp and matted onto lilac pearl card.
To embellish, I added layered organza and satin ribbon with a matching bow, a satin bow to the stopper, Papermania glitter number stickers, flowers made with a Woodware punch, topped with lilac gems, and some flourishes made with a Joanna Sheen star flourish die, which I cut down and just used to the very fine tendrils.

To embellish, I added a sentiment stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp, a sprig of flowers made with a Sizzix die set that I got for my birthday from a crafty friend, and a trio of butterflies made with Xcut dies from my Rose Flourish set, which I topped with tiny blue pearls for their bodies.

Purple Baubles

Yet another Christmas card, this time a DL card to ring the changes.  I don't make enough of these, I always enjoy the long, thin shape and the interesting layouts that can be achieved with this shape.
The papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Snow Princess, to which I've added deep purple and white card for matting.  I also used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch to make a decorative strip down the left hand side.  I used the snowflake-shaped waste from the punch to embellish the backing paper.
The baubles were made with Spellbinders dies, from three shades of purple card, and were embellished with tiny purple gems, topped with white bows, then hung from lengths of baker's twine from the top of the card.
The final touch was to add a sprinkling of gems to the background.

From Our Home To Yours

A Christmas card today, using a lovely Sizzix die that I recently treated myself to.  The glitter hasn't shown up very well in the photos but it's very sparkly in reality, I got covered in the stuff myself whilst making it, clothes, hair, face, the lot!
The patterned paper is Lili of the Valley, Frosty Christmas, to which I added plain white card to die cut the main image, which was done with a Sizzix die, and blue card to die cut a fancy circle, which was done with a Grand Spellbinders die.  I also used the same blue card to die cut some accents for the main image.
To embellish, I added some pale blue and crystal glitters to the recesses in the design, I added some Glossy Accents to the hearts, and I finished with some gems, including a tiny one for a door handle.

The paper are mix of Kanban, Cambridge and Lili of the Valley, Shabby Shack, I chose these because they were in pastel colours and had dots on!  I added a doily into the layering for a pretty, girly look.
I used a Spellbinders die to cut the fancy blue circle and Sizzix dies for the flowers and foliage, I added colour to the small flowers with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and added yellow gems to their centres.
