40th Birthday Card for a Fabulous Sister

My sister was 40 at the weekend so I had to make her a special card to celebrate her big day.  I opted for an easel card in pretty pastel colours, featuring a Your Next Stamp stamped image that I coloured with Promarkers, paper piecing, and highlighted with Star Dust Stickles.  I won the stamp in a challenge a while ago and kept it aside for just this occasion as my sister does love a cocktail and a pretty dress.
I made the easel card, all the layers, and the stopper element with Grand Spellbinders dies.
The oh so pretty papers are from a Lili of the Valley pad called Promises, I love the lilac and mint colour combo of this pack.
The birthday sentiment was stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp and the sister sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp and matted onto lilac pearl card.
To embellish, I added layered organza and satin ribbon with a matching bow, a satin bow to the stopper, Papermania glitter number stickers, flowers made with a Woodware punch, topped with lilac gems, and some flourishes made with a Joanna Sheen star flourish die, which I cut down and just used to the very fine tendrils.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Glitter and Glitz

It's our 7th birthday at I Love Promarkers, and to celebrate, our theme this fortnight is "Glitter and Glitz", so get your shimmer on and join the fun.
We're sponsored this time by Fabrika Fantasy, who kindly gave the DT some digis to play with, I chose to use Earth Fairy, which I coloured, of course with my Promarkers, then went wild with Glamour Dust to add the glitter and glitz element.
The pretty patterned paper and the paper I made the flowers from is from a Prima pad called Meadow Lark, a pack almost too beautiful to use, almost but not quite!  All the plain and pearl cardstock is from Anna Marie Designs.
I used Spellbinders Adorning Rectangles dies to create the frame, Joanna Sheen Signature dies to make the ivy, and Sue Wilson Cornflower dies for the flowers, to which I added a Hobby House dazzler to the centre of each for even more sparkle.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Artistic Inspirations - #160 - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - #120 - Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers - #168 - Bling It Up - Lots of Glamour Dust glitter and Hobby House dazzlers

Very Vintage

A card made with some geriatric Hunkydory stash today, that I've had for years and was due an airing!  I gave my Promarkers the day off and used a pre-coloured topper, which is quite unusual for me, but I do like to mix things up a bit every now and then, and come out of my alcohol pen comfort zone.
The topper and backing paper are from Hunkydory, to which I added some cream cardstock for matting, distressing all the edges with my Tim Holtz tool and I also added a touch of Rusty Hinge Distress Ink to further shabbify the edges.
To embellish, I added some cream lace, apricot ribbon with a matching button topped bow, a Craftwork Cards sentiment which just happened to be exactly the right colour, a whole heap of handmade daisies and foliage, made with Woodware punches and inked with more Rusty Hinge ink, flourished cut with a Joanna Sheen Signature die, some cream pearls, and lastly a row of blue gems on the topper.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Dream Valley - #133 - Vintage
Get Creative - #40 - Bingo - Button, Printed Paper, Ribbon
Broken Fairy - #3 - Vintage / Shabby
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards - #110 - Bingo - Lace, Patterned Paper, Die Cut

I Love Promarkers Dt Card - Pastel Colours

It's time for a new challenge at I Love Promarkers, this fortnight our theme is "Pastel Colours" and we're sponsored by Fabrika Fantasy, who kindly gave the DT some images to play with.  I chose to use Water Fairy, colouring her, of course, with Promarkers, then adding plenty of Star Dust Stickles for some fairy sparkle.
The papers are Lili of the Valley, from a pack called, appropriately enough, Pastel Dreams, to which I've added some pearl Eau de Nil card for matting.  The sentiment stamp I've used is from Lili of the Valley too, I thought that the sentiment went rather well with the image.
The waterlily die is new, I couldn't resist it when I was ordering stamping card from Joanna Sheen, it's from her Signature range.  This image was on my desk ready to be coloured when I saw it and I just had to have it, I have a couple of rubber stamps with waterlilies on so it'll be used again!
To finish, I added some layered ribbon, a matching button topped bow, and some coloured gems.
