Horse Riding Chloe

I've fallen head over heels for this gorgeous new Pink Gem digi set called Horse Riding Chloe, you'll find it in the store here.  I've always been a horse lover, and have ridden since my early teens, dressage being my favourite, until my fibromyalgia called a halt to it.  I really love colouring horse and pony images, I've coloured this sweet pony as a Haflinger, using Promarkers.
The papers, tags and sentiment are from my Papermania, Tilly Daydream A4 Ultimate Pack, I added Glossy Accents to the apples on the bottom tag, and I snipped some fringing on the sentiment to make the fabric print paper look frayed.  All the edges were inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
To embellish, I added some green satin ribbon, a bow, and some flowers and leaves made with Woodware punches.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

Mirabelle Fairytale

Like half the crafting world, or so it seems, I too, have fallen for the new Santoro Mirabelle range, I recently treated myself to the 6x6 papers and this lovely stamp as little pick-me-up treat to myself while my hubby was in hospital.  That's it........so far.......
The papers are exquisite, some glittered, some glazed, and others linen textured, they're not cheap, but they're worth every penny, the glittering on the rose paper doesn't show up at all in the photo, it's gorgeous in reality.
I coloured the stamp with my usual Promarkers, after stamping in Rich Cocoa Memento for a soft look.  After trimming to shape, I added a border of Platinum Stickles to the topper and matted it onto a frame cut with a Spellbinders Branching Out die.  The sentiment was stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp and die cut with a Spellbinders Floral Ovals die.
To embellish, I made rolled roses with Marianne dies, fussy cut butterflies from one of the glittered papers to use as embellies, added gold spider's web ribbon, cream organza ribbon with a large double bow, and finished with some dark, iridescent gems in the corners.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -

Teddy Tea Time

I can't remember the last time I made a Tatty Teddy card, it's not through lack of stash either, so there was no reason for me to buy this cute stamp and pretty paper pack, other than the fact that they were half price in the Hobby Craft sale!  I'm renowned amongst my friends and family for my tea drinking capabilities, so I just couldn't resist this stamp..........and it was so cheap.......
The papers and stamp are Dovecraft, from the Me to You Mother's Day range; I stamped the image in London Fog Memento for a softer look, and coloured it in with Promarkers, I use Ice Greys for Tatty Teddy.  I used a Gold Spellbinders label die to cut out the image, inking the edge with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks.  The sentiment was fussy cut from one of the papers.
To add interest to the card blank, I embossed it with an floral Embossalicious folder, then inked it with the inks mentioned above, with the addition of Shaded Lilac Distress Ink.
The flowers were made with Woodware and Nellie Snellen punches, using paper from the same pack, and inking the edges with a variety of Distress Inks for a coordinated look.  I finished off by adding pink gems, and tying pretty, variegated eyelash fibre bows to the spines of the card.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Bounty of Buttons

It's challenge time again at I Love Promarkers, this week our theme is, "Bounty of Buttons", meaning we'd like to see at least three buttons on your creation, as well as the use of Letraset pens, as usual.  We're sponsored this time by Live, Love Crafts.
I decided on a sewing themed card for my DT offering this week, using this sweet Milk Coffee digi, coloured with Promarkers.  The paper is Papermania, Sew Lovely, all I had to do was plonk the topper in the middle, the fabric effect circle and stitching are all printed on, I just added a red mat.  The heart tag was made with a stamp from a matching Sew Lovely stamp set, stamped onto linen print paper, fussy cut out, and topped with a Sew Lovely ribbon loop and button.  For my "Bounty of Buttons" element, I created a frame of buttons round the edge of the topper, from my enormous button stash (I have a bit of a thing for buttons!), varying the colours and sizes to add interest.  To finish, I added a big, red, satin bow and a couple of pins.

Easter Bunny with Egg

I made this card with the current free digi from Pink Gem, you'll find it here.  It comes in PNG and JPG format, and both pre coloured and line art, not bad for a freebie eh?!  I chose to use the line art version and coloured it with my Promarkers.
The papers are Papermania, Spots and Stripes Capsule Collection in Pastel, to which I've added kraft and a punched border of pink card, done with a Martha Stewart Punch.  The flowers were made from papers from the same stack, using Xcut dies, the leaves were made with a mega handy Woodware punch that I'd be lost without.  The sentiment was stamped with a Hobby Craft stamp, in brown ink to compliment the kraft card, and I finished off by embellishing with a lilac bow, buttons, and lilac gems.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Clean and Simple

It's that time of the week again when we start a new challenge at I Love Promarkers, this week our theme is, "Clean and Simple" and we're sponsored by Doctor Digi.  I used to dread CAS challenges, but I really enjoy them now, although I find it harder to make a CAS card with a coloured image, I usually prefer masking with Distress Inks and stamps.  My husband loves this style of card, he's home from hospital now and wants a couple of thank you cards for the wards he was in, so this ties in very nicely with this week's challenge theme!
I've used a Papermania, Lucy Cromwell stamp, coloured, of course, with Promarkers.  I always enjoy colouring this one, it's great fun to shade and you can go wild with as many or as few colours as you want.  I've cut the image out with Spellbinders, Adorning Squares Dies, my Mother's Day present this year.  I got to choose my own present as hubby was in hospital, my son's only seven so not old enough to go shopping himself.  I've had my eye on this set for a while and I'm just delighted with them.  The sentiment stamp is Papermania too, but from a different set.
For the border, I masked off a square in the middle and inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, adding Picked Raspberry in the corners.  My camera has a real problem photographing reds and pinks, the flower in the cup and the edges to the border are not so eye-wateringly bright in reality....... and this is after photo editing!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Papertake - Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers - #113 - You've Been Framed
Sister Act - #50 - Anything Goes
