Heartfelt Christmas Wishes

More new stash used on this one, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop deciding what to use first from my SECC haul at the moment!

 The cute stamp is from Lili of the Valley, it's been coloured with Promarkers, highlighted with Glamour Dust, and I've added black pearls for the snowman's eyes and buttons.
The papers are Papermania, First Noel, I really like the rich and classy colour tones of this pack, some of them are beautifully foiled too, although not the ones I've used here.
The topper was cut with a Spellbinders Floral Ovals dies, the holly is from a Spellbinders set too and the tag was cut with a die from a magazine freebie set, the sentiment stamp came free with a mag as well.  The snowflakes were made with a Nellie Snellen punch and emboss set, they look so pretty with the embossed design.
To finish, I've added ribbon, a bow, a twine bow, pearls and gems.

Happy 50th Birthday Alison!

Here's another 50th birthday card, this time for my sister-in-law, Alison, who's birthday was last week, but I've been so busy that I've only just got round to blogging her card!

 I've used some of my new goodies from the SECC to make this card, including this gorgeous Imagination Crafts stamp, which I've coloured with Distress Markers and a water brush, and these stunning Lili of the Valley, Antebellum papers, which have to rank as one of my favourite ever paper packs, they are sooo beautiful.  Even the ribbon, pearls and gems are new, there's nothing like breaking out the new stash!  The only older stuff I've used is a couple of card blanks to make the easel, oval and scalloped oval Spellbinders, Walnut Stain Distress Ink for the edges of the papers, and some glitter number stickers.

Never Ending Card for a 50th Birthday

This one was a customer order, this customer just loves my never ending cards, especially for special birthdays with a zero on the end!  I didn't have long to make this, she needed it very quickly, so I let the beautiful papers do the talking and kept the embellishments fairly minimal.

 The stunning papers are a new SECC purchase, they're Lili of the Valley, Beach Bliss, perfect for the request for shades of blue.  The fancy label that I stuck the glittered number stickers onto is a new Spellbinders die, and the bunting was made with a new Joy die too, I'm really enjoying playing with my new goodies.  The stamps I've used are as old as the hills, they're and ancient SeeDees set, apart from the "best wishes", stamp which is from the Papermania Vintage Notes range.  The colouring medium, however, is new to me, I've used Distress Markers from the limited edition set, with a water brush.  A few paper flowers and shimmer dots and that's my perpetual card done.

Whimsy Inspirations GDT Card

I was over the moon to be asked to guest design for the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Challenge this week, where the theme is "Anything Goes".  I was lucky enough to be given the image of my choice to play with, I chose this beautiful Christmas digi, which was a joy to colour with my Promarkers.

 The papers and ribbon are Papermania, Home for Christmas, to which I've added kraft card,  snowflake borders made with a Martha Stewart punch, and die cut snowflakes made with Die'Licious dies, for a Nordic look.
The tag was made with a punch, I heat embossed the sentiment with white powder.  The poinsettias were also punched, with tiny gems for centres.  A few pearls and gems and my festive card is finished.

I Love Promarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

It's challenge time once again at I Love Promarkers, this week our theme is the ever popular "Anything Goes", and we're sponsored by Crafty Sentiments.
I couldn't resist the urge to play with some of my lovely new goodies from my shopping spree at the SECC, I've used new papers, dies, stamps, ribbon and glitter here!

 The super cute robin stamp is a Stampendous one, coloured with Promarkers, and the snow glittered with Stampendous glitter.  I also added some blobs of Liquid Pearls to create a snowy background.
The papers are Lili of the Valley, Woodland Wishes, a beautiful Christmas stack in a contemporary colour palette, I especially like the rich plum.  I have to confess to buying six LOTV paper packs in Glasgow, they're all so gorgeous!
The leafy border was made with a lovely Spellbinders die, from my new Branching Out set, this is the largest one in the set, and you can see how big it is when you keep in mind that this is an A5 card.  The holly dies are new Spellbinders too, I've combined them with the fir branch and small cone from my older Fall Foliage set.
The pretty mulberry ribbon is new too, from Meiflower, where I stocked up on a ton of ribbon.  It's one of my must have craft essentials as it makes the loveliest bows which hold their shape perfectly, the colour range is enormous too.
To finish off, I've added plum gems, Liquid Pearls to the corners, and a sentiment stamped with a stamp from an Imagination Crafts set.

Cutie Pie DT Card - Embellishment Bingo

We have a fun new challenge for you over at Cutie Pie, this fortnight we're playing "Embellishment Bingo", and we're sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.  To play along, just choose a row on the bingo board, or if you're feeling adventurous, you could go for a full house, but please make your creations cute.

 I've gone for bow, buttons, flowers, but I could also have had, buttons, ribbon, die cut.

 The super cute image is a Sherri Baldy Bestie digi, which I've coloured, rather unsurprisingly, with my Promarkers, to match these Papermania, Twelve Days of Christmas papers.  The paper pack came in the last goody bag and I hadn't opened them until now, the colour combo of red, aqua and kraft is really pretty and the contemporary designs are rather nice too.
The snowflake ribbon is Anita's, I must buy some more as I'm almost at the end of the reel, it's such a nice rich, berry red.  The poinsettias were made with my old faithful Nellie Snellen punches and flourish was cut with a Marianne die.  Some polka dot buttons and red pearls are the finishing touches.

Birthday Bunting

Another customer order!  This time it's a child's birthday card with a hidden envelope for a gift card.

 I've used a cute Pink Gem dig, called Birthday Millie, you'll find it in the store here.  I've coloured her with my trusty Promarkers, then stamped round the edge of the topper with SeeDees stamps using a variety of Distress Inks.
The papers are Lili of the Valley, Promises, I've inked all the edges with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink for definition.  The panel on the right of the topper is actually a little envelope that pulls out and is the perfect size for a gift card or money to be popped inside.
The bunting was made with my mega useful Stampin' Up bunting punch, I added the little girl's name with glitter stickers and glued on flower shaped buttons between each pennant.  The flowers and leaves were made with punches, and I finished off with a Craftwork Cards sentiment, ribbon, a bow, gems, and some pearls.
