Dandelions

This card was just so hard to photograph!  You can't really see much of the shimmer from all the mica I've used.  It was one of those projects where I tried layering up several techniques, not knowing what I was going to end up with.
I started by stamping the dandelions, which are a Personal Impression set, in Perfect Medium onto Clarity card and then inking with Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans using my Distress Ink tool.  It looked nice but not enough texture so I sanded it.  Still too wishy washy so a spritzed it with Cosmic Shimmer mist in teal.  The dandelions weren't very defined so I stamped again, slightly offset to the first images in Perfect Medium and added turquoise mica powder.  I then stamped another offset set of images and added a darker blue mica powder.  The depth was built up quite nicely now so all I had to do was stamp more offset images and heat emboss with silver powder.
The teal coloured satin board is from Create and Craft and looks lovely as it is but when you heat emboss with clear powder the magic really happens.  The areas of embossing look as if they have been foiled!  The effect is stunning but I've not captured it well at all in the photo.  The sentiment has been done in the same way and is part of the same stamp set.
After that it was just a case of layering up with and panel embossed with a Craft Concepts folder, adding a bow and a row of three square gems.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Sweet Sunday Sketch - #154 - sketch
Poodle's Parlour - anthing goes
Stampin' for the Weekend - anything goes
Craft Room Challenge - bling, glitter, sparkle
