I Love Paris in the Springtime!

Well, what a lucky Mummy I was yesterday!  As well as a lovely card made at school by my wee boy, Robbie, and a family lunch with Hubby, Robbie, Mum and my Stepdad at an Italian retaurant, I was also treated to another set of Papermania travel themed Urban stamps and a set of Spellbinders anemone dies.  A close friend works in my local craft shop and she was able to point the boys in the right direction for a fabby present!  So, after lunch I just had to have a play with my new goodies, it would've been rude not to!
I'm so in love with Urban stamps just now (in case you hadn't noticed!) but I decided to go soft and feminine this time.  I got busy stamping with Memento ink in London Fog onto pink and several shades of grey card.  Even the dark grey mat has tiny postcards stamped onto it.
I coloured the edges of the scalloped blank with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar direct from the pad and added a mat of Papermania Hot Diggedy Dog paper.
I then went for a rummage in my stash and found a part used sheet of gorgeous, pink printed vellum which screamed at me to use it!  I rounded the top corners and tore the bottom to add to the shabby look.
My Tim Holtz paper distresser is missing in action (it'll turn up when I tidy my craft table!) so I scuffed the edges of everything with an old craft knife.
The flower was made with my new dies from white vellum with a silver leaf print and the same patterned, pink vellum as before, held together with a fabric brad.
Some pleated ribbon embellished with tiny brads, a bow and three pearly gems complete the card.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
The Artistic Stamper - travel theme
The Deconstructed Sketch - #43 - sketch
Let's Ink it Up - show us your flowers
Pan Pastel UK - #10 - add a flower
