Here's a quick tutorial for a frame which looks like it's been made from pressed flowers. It's really easy to do and gives a fun result.
Cut a frame to fit the topper of your choice, I've inked mine with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to match my project.
Next, go wild with your flower punches in a selection of colours. This is a good way of using up all those scraps we crafts always amass. You can also use ready made flowers for this, as long as they're flat. Stick the flowers to the frame randomly, using a gluestick.
Place your frame in an embossing folder and pass through a die cutting machine. A small design works best for this technique, I've chosen dots. 5x7 embossing folders are very useful if, like me, you want to make a frame which is a reasonable size.
This is how it looks after embossing.
It can, of course, be left plain, but I've added some gems for the flower centres. You could also use buttons or beads.
Here's my frame with the topper in place.
The finished project.
That looks great and really simple to do. I might have a go xx
