There's a new challenge today over at Digi Haven, this time we'd like to see projects featuring "Wreaths and Ornaments". To play along you need to use a free digi and add a link to it, but, in January we'll be having a grand reopening where you'll be able to use any digi, not just freebies. We'll also be offering some brilliant prizes to our winners so keep your eyes peeled for all the details at the start of next year!
Yet again I've used a free digi from Beccy's Place, you'll find this lovely poinsettia wreath here. It's been coloured with Promarkers with some tiny gold gems in the centres of the flowers. The papers are all Papermania Boofle, to which I've added red and gold textured cardstock. This is actually a card I was asked to make for an eighty year old lady to give to her sister for Christmas. The brief was a card with poinsettias on and lots of red with "To a Special Sister" as the sentiment, which I computer generated. The glossy red card was embossed with one of my new 8x8 embossing folders which has a lovely, damask design. To finish, I added some sparkly gold ribbon, a bow, some yummy giant red pearls and two poinsettias made with Nellie Snellen punches. I hope it fits the bill!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Crafts and Me - #114 - no blue
ABC Christmas - your fave punch/die - circle and scalloped circle Spellbinders and Nellie Snellen flower punches
Diva's by Design - #69 - use red
Crafting for all Seasons - #42 - red, green and sparkle
The Perfect Sentiment - #59 - Christmas
Anything Goes - #82 - traditional Christmas colours
Celebrate the Occasion - #92 - Christmas and use a punch
LEJ - #33 - sentimental
Top Tip Tuesday - #91 - Christmas
