Sharing in Your Sorrow

Here's one of those dreaded sympathy card, they're always the hardest to make.  This one's for a chap at church who lost his wife very suddenly.
I used My Mind's Eye Portobello Road papers for this one along with some kraft, I thought the muted colours of this stack were perfect for a sympathy card.  The bottom panel was debossed with a Tim Holtz folder which I inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  To add some interest to my simple layout, I used a leafy EK Success border punch along the bottom edge of one of the mats.
The tree and sentiment are from a Stampin' Up stamp set, I heat embossed the tree with clear powder and stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa Memento.  Some ribbon, a bow and some soft blue and cream pearls finish it off.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Speedy and Friends - #156 - Punched Border
Totally Gorjuss - #180 - Embossing
4 Crafty Chicks - #138 - Trees
LEJ - #49 - Emboss It
Addicted to Stamps and More - #41 - Anything Goes
