Cutie Pie DT Card - Inspiration Photo

We have a new challenge for you over at Cutie Pie, this fortnight we'd like you to use our inspiration photo, please let us know in your post the element of your project inspired by the photo as it's not always obvious.  Our sponsor this time is Crafty Ribbons who are offering a prize to our winner.

I'm sure this photo will inspire all sorts of lovely projects, I decided to go with the balloon theme for my card, using this super sweet digi stamp from Digi Darla.

 I masked off the image, then used some hand cut cloud shapes as masks and created the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  The image was then coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Stickles in Thistle and Waterfall.
The oh so pretty papers are Nitwits from Lili of the Valley, I just love the colour combo of this stack.  I inked all the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink for a bit of definition.
The flowers were made with my much loved Nellie Snellen punches and I further embellished with some grosgrain ribbon, a bow, some lilac pearls and clear gems.
