My husband came in from work on Thursday, and asked if I had four thank you cards, all the same, that he could have for the next day. The answer was, of course, "no", I don't tend to batch make cards unless I need them for a specific reason, so he said he'd BUY some at Tesco. "Don't you DARE!" I told him, as I set to work making four quickie CAS cards!
These are so not my usual thing, but I didn't have time to colour images, and I was really tired, I quite like being pushed outside my comfort zone sometimes too.
I decided to use dinky little twelve centimetre square blanks, I think they're really cute for simple layouts, especially those without images.
One of the recipients of these cards is very into green issues and gardening, and this very much influenced my choice of papers. The Stamping Up book print paper is from a botanical encyclopaedia, and the K&Co patterned papers are made from 100% recycled paper and are printed with soy ink. The kraft card I've used is also made from recycled material.
The sentiment was stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp, and I finished off my simple cards with Card Candi and Pearls.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Crafting by Designs - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Pretty Pearls
Cupcake Craft - #248 - CAS No Flowers
Crafting When We Can - #47 - Keep It Simple
Glitter 'n' Sparkle - #39 - Thank You

LOL, you husband knows how to convince you! ANY card handmade is better that this one bought at Tesco, and the result of your work is so elegant, you shouldn't be mad at him.
ReplyDeleteI love the text on the background. Thank you for your inspiration!
