It was craft night with the girls last night, and, after out tea and home baked rhubarb and custard cupcakes, complete with a hidden centre of home made rhubarb curd (recipe here on my baking blog), we made these cute watering can shaped cards. The template for this is available, free, from Waltzing Mouse, you'll find it here.
After cutting out the basic shape of the watering can from green card, I used a Versamark pen along the joins, where the welding would be, and heat embossed with verdigris powder. I then sprinkled on some more powder randomly over the whole can and heated from underneath, for a patchy, weathered look.
The yellow flower was made with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies and coloured with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, and the other two were made with Carnation Creations dies that I borrowed from a friend, I've got to get them, they're gorgeous! The top flower was coloured with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. The foliage was made with a Spellbinders die too.
The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the final touch is a little, wooden ladybird.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
