I made this card for a bit of craft therapy to relieve my jangled nerves after being involved in a car crash this week. My husband was driving, myself and six year old son were passengers. We were stationary, with the handbrake on, waiting to pass parked cars, when the card behind us swerved to avoid us, took out the side of our car, and crashed head on into an oncoming car. Luckily, nobody was seriously hurt, we don't even have bruises, but the car will almost certainly be written off. What the woman behind us was doing is anyone's guess, I'm sure the police will get to the bottom of it.
Anyway, here's my card.
I've used a Dr Digi image, coloured with Promarkers, I think their stamps are great for male cards. The sentiment is a rubber stamp from a Helz Cuppleditch set.
The papers are Papermania, It's a Man's World, they're quite old now and I'm on my second pack, I haven't got a single scrap left of the first one. I find it really hard to get nice papers for masculine cards that aren't vintage or too child-like.
To finish off, I've added a die cut fish made with a Sizzix die, it's cut from silver dotty card, although it looks white in the photo.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Card Crafter's Circle - #90 - For the Boys
DRS Designs - #85 - Mad About Plaid
Papertake - Sketchie Free For All - I used sketch #73, rotated
Cards for Men - #17 - Funny Birthday
My Time to Craft - #232 - Sport
Sweet Stampin' - Spots and Stripes
Merry Christmas to You All!
