Vintage Patchwork Notelets

Last night was craft night, and after our tea and home baked gingery plum cake with Chantilly cream (recipe here on my baking blog), we made paper pieced patchwork cards.  I decided to make a set of notelets, and a box to match, using these pretty Teresa Collins magazine freebie papers.
The box was made with my Boxer Board on the Ultimate Pro and decorated with the same papers as the notelets and a lacy mat made with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set.  I added a button and ribbon loop to the centre of the lid to decorate, and the help remove the lid.
The patchwork on the notelets was simply paper pieced, then run through an Embossabilities embossing folder, and gently inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink to pick out the embossed pattern.  I've made lots of patchwork cards before, but never thought to emboss them until now, I got the idea from Pinterest.  They look much nicer in real life, the camera just doesn't pick it up all that well.

I'm entering this set in the following challenges -
Bearly Mine - #102 - Anything Goes
Papertake - Anything Goes
Crafting Musketeers - #5 - Vintage
Natalie and Amy's - #12 - Embossing
Simply Create Too - #45 - Vintage or Old
