A Taste of India

I was naughty and treated my self to the Sheena Douglass Taste of India stamps when they were on offer on Create and Craft, I don't have any other stamps remotely like them, here's the first card I've made with this collection, this one uses "Henna" and a whole lot of Distress Ink.  It was really hard to photograph, it looks much richer and prettier in reality.
I started by creating the background, simply by applying Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Barn Door and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks to a piece of card.  I then used some of the smaller stamps sprayed with water to stamp onto the background to give a sort of faux batik look.
I then heat embossed the larger image with gold powder, took a damp brush over the leaf and flower area to lift off some of the colour, then painted with Twinkling H2Os.  I then added glitter to the flowers, topped with two coats of Glossy Accents for a domed finish, and one coat of Glossy Accents on the leaves for a shiny finish.
To finish the panel, I used a white pen to add dots to highlight areas of the design and to edge the piece, I also used some Black Soot Distress Ink round the edges to make the colours pop.
The panel was then matted onto some gold pearl card, onto which I added a border of drops of gold Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Sweet Stampin' - No DP
Milk Coffee - Bright Colours
Inky Impressions - #157 - Anything Goes
Sparkle 'n' Sprinkle - Anything Goes with Glitter, Embossing Power or Flocking - I used embossing power and glitter
Hobbycutz - #45 - Glitter
Pile It On - #17 - Rubber Stamping
Red Carpet Studio - #68 - The Heat - I used hot colours and heat embossing
