I decided to make another Christmas card for my DT sample, using a Papermania Country Companions stamp that I bought ages ago in a sale but hadn't got round to inking up. I used Rich Cocoa Memento to stamp the image, rather than black, for a softer look, then coloured with Promarkers, I have to admit that I really enjoyed colouring this one, with all it's different textures, even although the image is quite small.
The pretty papers are Papermania, Lucy Cromwell Home for Christmas, a lovely pack from a couple of years ago which have a very nice linen texture, I thought that the poinsettia patterned one went particularly well with this image. I just added in some what and green cardstock for matting and stamped a sentiment with a Papermania stamp, in brown ink to match the image.
To embellish, I added some layered ribbon, a matching button topped bow, some poinsettias made with Nellie Snellen punches, pine sprigs and holly leaves made with Spellbinders dies, and some gold gems.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
