Fire and Ice Stag

Another Christmas card, this one made with some of my new goodies from the SECC.
Unfortunately, the photos don't capture the true shimmer of the fire and ice background, it's much prettier in reality.
The die I've used is from Imagination Crafts, I got it half price at the SECC because this range is being discontinued.  Luckily, I have a few of them, but I couldn't resist adding this beauty to my collection.  It's a nice big die, to give you and idea of scale, this is a 7x7 card.
The background to the silhouette was made using Sue Wilson's fire and ice technique, of Iced Snow glitter over gilding flakes, using double sided adhesive sheets.  It's really easy to do and looks beautiful.
The papers are Trimcraft, Gilded Winter, to which I added some black cardstock for matting, keeping the layering simple.  The bottom pale layer is oyster coloured pearl card which has been embossed with a snowflake trellis folder.  The only embellishments I added are some large pearls as I didn't was to detract from the pretty topper.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
A Snowflakes Promise - #9 - Christmas / Winter
City Crafter - #286 - Getting Ready for Christmas
Papertake - Anything Goes
Crafting From the Heart - #84 - Anything Goes
