A Box of Cogs

It's another one of those pop up box cards for Father's Day (you may be detecting a theme here!); this one is for my step dad, who is a mechanical fitter to trade, so I went for an industrial look for his card.
I made the pop up box with my Mum's Tattered Lace dies, these take the hard work out and give you the mats and layers as well, very handy.
I used Papermania, Mr Smith's Workshop papers to do the matting, choosing papers with a distressed metal look, the cute spanner charm is from the same range.  The sentiment was stamped with a Papermania stamp in brown ink on more coordinating patterned paper.
All the cogs inside the box were cut with Spellbinders dies, using various finishes of metallic card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Brown Sugar - #302 - Father's Day
4 Crafty Chicks - #303 - Metal - metal charm
Fab 'n' Funky - #309 - Shaped Cards
The Male Room - #37 - Father's Day
Deep Ocean - #131 - Metal or Wood - metal charm
Die Cuttin' Divas - #270 - Father's Day
Crafty Cardmakers - #166 - For a Special Man
