Embossing and Gilding Wax

You know all those small, A6 card blanks lurking in your stash that have been there since the dawn of time (or possibly before!)?  We've all got them, they were probably a bargain or came in a goody bag.  Well....... I'm going to use them up!  One or two at least, maybe as many as two or three!  Ta da!  Here's the first card I've made in ages using one of these little blanks, the great thing is that they're the perfect size for cardstock embossed with small embossing folders, which is what I've used here.
This is a bit of a departure from my usual style, there's not a Promarkered image in sight.  I was crafting over at Mum's, and we felt like getting a bit messy, so we cracked open her new gilding waxes.  I embossed a piece of kraft card with an Embosabilities folder, then simply rubbed on two colours of wax with a tissue, to pick out the design.
Next, I had a good rummage through Mum's punches and dies and found this lovely Martha Stewart border punch and a Spellbinders rolled flower, neither of which I have, so I availed myself of their use!  I also managed to purloin a scrap of lace, a length of ribbon and a little Frayed Burlap Distress Ink for the edges of my blank, oh and some crinkle kraft for the flower!  Don't worry, I'm not an evil daughter, she get plenty of mine!!!  I added the buttons, stick pins and pearl in the flower's centre when I got home.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges -
Totally Papercrafts - #168 - Buttons
As You Like It - #2 -  Fave Colour Combo.  This changes all the time for me, but brown and teal is one that I return to time and time again, I really love kraft and try to sneak it into as many projects as I can!
DRS Designs - #71 - Punches
Moving Along With the Times - Embossing
Anything Goes - #93 - Make Your Own Background
Eclectic Ellapu - Handmade Flowers
That Craft Place - Dies and Punches
